No move combinations, only single move events?
Something I've wanted to do for a while, and partially did while checking Smgon's learnsets, is tracking down good sources for NYPC moves. Sadly they are poorly documented and almost all the better sites are no longer online, but mleo2003 found some extra sources on web archives and I've formatted them/added to my own finds. And fixed a million spelling errors. Here is what I have so far:

From what I can tell, yes. Just single moves. All obtained in Egg form, incompatible with other egg moves. I'll compare the lists and come up with what I think is a reasonable set of confirmed ones, and a set of possibles. Would you prefer to err on the side of being inclusive or only allow those which have near-certain confirmation?
Do you have/know of a copy of NB's database which I could extract the info from without looking through every learnset and copying it by hand? I'd rather avoid that if possible..
Made quite a few fixes and standardizations, set up comparison table. Yay having under 150 lines to compare not 20000 like with third gen. Anyway, almost there. Just need to decide/agree on what should go in now.

Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Elekid, and Magby get Dizzy Punch through the special Crystal Egg anyway, which I assume would be classified as Special by PO? Stadium 2 gives a Gligar with Earthquake and Farfetch'd with Baton Pass... considering the moves which are thought unconfirmed by the more careful sites (and that the Bulbasaur:Rock Throw claim seems to have come originally from a site which says it used official listing for all but they grey ones, which it is not one of (and has AP too, suggests both existed)), the Jap only events I had previously overlooked because they were in a different section of only one of the sources (Fly Pikachu, Surf Pikachu, Encore Phanpy), and ExtremeSpeed Dratini, I would suggest this as the list of special moves for GSC:

I cannot guarantee we don't have any fakes, and it's quite possible some have been missed. If only we could get official lists, but hey. I think this is the best we're going to do. It should follow all of PO's naming conventions.
If someone else finds this topic and knows of a new source, please post it.

I'm still around the Pokemon Communities, and recently, unrelated to this was able to release the save of my Pokemon Crystal with some PCNY Pokemon.
So on Pokemon Crystal, a save file with some of the Pokemon is up now.

They had some mistakes (Sweet Kiss) Pinsir. And they only started cooperating towards the end of the life span. Rare meant Shiny.
(Not Both) means that on one particular week the Pokemon was distributed with two moves, but each one obtained only had one of those moves. It would have Sweet Kiss or Lovely Kiss, making both moves an illegal combination.
I'm also in the process of selling my Crystal with these Pokemon on Ebay.

Well, for the record, I actually submitted the list from Gold Ursaring's Lair <_<
What, I've heard is that there was an IV restriction on the Pokemon, but I've never figured it out, it makes some sense given that the Pokemon had an unusually high rate of being Shiny (1/8 to 1/4 were the guesses), but I've never gotten the energy to figure out how what IVs the Pokemon have and I only heard about this much later, I was more interested in finding a list of reliable Pokemon that were distributed (figuring a hoax or two out along the way, Cross Chop Krabby).
The biggest deal about Dizzy Punch would be the potential distribution of different IVs. It was in fact used as a distribution move for some Pokemon.
Bump. I was just discussing this with Eric, and he mentioned the DV situation not being figured out.
If anyone knows how to open Gold Ursaring's save file, then please let me know. I am willing to do the actual hard work with the DV's. I'm very knowledgeable in probability and statistics, so I know I can handle this, and hopefully draw a conclusion. The problem is opening the file, which I cannot do in VBA![]()
Ubers were pre-determined by Game Freak, not Smogon and Pokemon Online. Smogon still owes me a T-shirt from when I won Smogon Tour 2.
Check out my anti-clausewhore proposal here.
I'm no expert, but they are .zip
Perhaps if you were to extract it and play it on a Pokemon Crystal.gba, it would work??? I can try it myself.

LOL I'm not that stupidThanks anyway. I got them to work because I got in touch with Gold Ursaring and he gave me a different format of save file. I'm too lazy right now to look through the stuff but I will in the next few days and tell you all what I found.
