    Default March 2011 LU Tiers

The official tiers for the month of March (the cut-off between UU and LU being 3%):

For UU lists, see the Generation 5 Tier List.

    Dream World stats found here

    Wifi stats found here

Finally is here what many of you were waiting for LU. We have two new diferent tier (probably they will implemented soon), LU DW and LU Wifi. It was invented mainly to keep some notable pokemon like Cresselia, Celebi, Absol etc out of NU as well as to cut down the number of pokemon that will be in NU.

Both tier are similar but both still have some big diferences, like Cresselia being LU in Wifi but not in DW. I can't talk alot about this tier without playing it but one thing is sure, the power creep is huge. Personally i can't wait to try this tier.

And for those of you who don't know, tiers are obtained from the usage statistics, NOT FROM THE POKEMON'S COMPETITIVE STRENGTH. So if something falls to LU, it's because it's not used very frequently compared to other pokemon. Though, once the UU tier centralizes and stabilizes more, it's possible the cutoff will change.

Ok, finally got lists for the LU tiers themselves. Now, since there are a ton of pokemon in the tier(since no tier is below it right now), I just got the top 100 used pokemon from each tier's stats. To find a pokemon you may be looking for, use ctrl+f and type its name after opening the hide tags.

It'll certainly be interesting to see what will turn up as suspects, Porygon2 seems like a likely candidate. Anyways I am totally psyched for this, nice job everyone!

Alright, a real non-weather metagame. No Abomasnow or Hippopotas, which is nice.

It'll be interesting to see what others use for this tier.

Well, I don't play DW, so it shouldn't affect me.

I'm surprised that things like Torunerosu aren't being used that often. I'm also wondering how the lack of spinners will affect the tier...

Thank goodness. Maybe now the Star-Dog Champion, aka Muurando, can get some usage.

Well both sand and hail are going to be fully viable in DW LU, as both Snover and hippo are LU and most of their abusers are there as well. Anyway, I'm inclined to think that LU is going to turn into a stall metagame, especially after the first few bans come into place. Also, did anyone else smile maniacally when they saw this:

Stall? No. Aerodactyl and all his monstrous friends are back.

I seriously can't wait to play this. Except I gotta go now, and might be busy the whole rest of the week

I believe there's a pastebin floating around with all of the possible LU pokemon in it (excluding pre-evos not considered strong enough), but I don't have it.

I like the LU concept. I've been waiting for something like this for a while.

Though I'm not a fan of the LU name. "Little used" doesn't really make much sense as little is more of a description than a comparison word. I always though a tier like this should be called RU for Rarely Used.

But anyways, this looks like it should be fun.

ok i know LU is based on usage but i played a lot of LU battles today and Sand is really broken. Also Porygon2 is OU in DW and ppl have been using it in DW LU. So you really should fix that.

it's Porygon2 not Porygon 2, BR needs to fix this!

I already fixed it on the server.

i know it's a little thing, but it'd be nice to have a combined list of everything that's not allowed here (Ubers+OU+UU) so it'll be easier to figure out what is. the way it is now, i have to open the DW OU and UU lists.

I just noticed the rather gigantic differences between DW and wifi, it'll be hard to keep track of what is what this time around...

Because tiers are sorted by usage, not the "power level" of a pokemon or anything like that. Also, it's only OU in Dream world, not Wifi; that's probably the reason. And you meant LU, right?

Not really, we have Stealth Rock and a fair amount of rock pokemon.

Baton pass teams are hard to bring down if you don't have someone with unaware, perish song or haze.

By 3%, does that mean 3% in the standard DW and Wifi tiers, or 3% usage in DW/Wifi uu?

In UU. The 3% mark in OU determines UU tiers

I love the new LU tier but I have one small problem, when trying to go on Wifi LU it doesn't allow me to use it because it says I have a Scolipede. But Scolipede is allowed in in the Wifi LU because it is # 33. Can you fix this please. Here is the message that I got.

(10:22:22) The following pokemons of your team are invalid (ban, level, moveset, item...) in Wifi LU, hence you can't choose that tier: Scolipede.

You're probably using Quick Feet, which isn't released yet. It could also be that you have an illegal move set.

I'm pretty sure this is a legal set in Wifi LU

Pendra (Pendoraa) (M) @ Salac Berry
    Trait: Swarm
    EVs: 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Agility
    - Megahorn
    - Swords Dance
    - Baton Pass

It still wont let me in.
