Why is Blaziken with Baton pass allowed?
it's not physically possible for it to have baton pass and speed boost at the same time.

There's nothing to "approve", this is a list of Dream World Pokemon released by Nintendo - which means they are now legal in the Wifi tier.

If you spot any mistakes, then post.

    Feel free to elaborate.

Someone else will need to address this question, as my 5th generation knowledge is limited at this point.

This has already been forbidden on the Wifi tier.

It has to do with the fact that Baton Pass is a breeding move(which can only be passed(hahaha passed) down by female parents) and Torchic has only been released as a male with Speed Boost.

If you mean Dream World, I've been told it's because Dream World is strictly theoretical and that it's possible Nintendo releases Female (?) Torchics who's abilities can be bred.

However, there is no documented evidence of a female Torchic being found, so we have assumed that there are no female Torchics on the DW system yet.
Because of this, it is impossible to breed for the Speed Boost ability, and impossible to get egg moves (like Baton Pass) onto Blaziken.

Right, Dream World is a 'theoretical' tier - which means everything that is in the game is allowed; whether it has been released by Nintendo or not.

I believe we've answered your question.

Your Infernape probably didn't have any egg moves. For these pokemon, you can't have any egg moves for any of the pokemon. (And in Togekiss and Mamoswine's case, no Pre-evo moves) (Only applies to Wifi of course)

It's allowed in Dream World because it's in the game. Dream World is a tier with the un-released abilities.

If you don't want to play it, then play on Wifi tier.

Here's a list of pokemon which are released but unable to have egg moves (Or Pre-evo in Mamoswine and Togekiss's case) due to must being male.

Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Croagunk, Toxicroak, Turtwig, Grotle, Torterra, Chimchar, Monferno, Infernape, Piplup, Prinplup, Empoleon, Treecko, Grovyle, Sceptile, Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken, Mudkip, Marshtomp, Swampert, Mamoswine, Togekiss

Maybe add that list to OP by putting a (M) next to those pokes?

well, I made my blaziken on pokesav and used it on random match so here what worked out:

Blaziken with DW base (captured in DW) and batton pass is ilegal but blaziken breded (out of an egg) with batton pass is LEGAL, so if in the game is legal thers no need for complain , so the reason must be that a female torchic is possible, maybe not now but in a future.

well i hope to be of help ^-^

PD: yeah my English sucks, sue me!! ¬¬

About the Blaziken+Speed Boost+Baton Pass issue.

Question. In battle, doesn't Ditto Mimic it's opponent's abilities, as well? If so, it shouldn't be impossible to breed with a speed boosting torchic, and have the baby know speed boost as well.

All the currently released Speed Boost Torchic-line are male, which is why it cannot be bred - only female Dream World ability Pokemon can pass the ability, and you cannot pass on the DW ability if you breed with a Ditto.

On another note, I've added the Pokemon Cafe Pokemon to the OP - Eevee and Burmy lines are fully released, as is Smeargle (although Moody is still banned).

I suppose the OP is incorrect. It's a bit hard to notice as all other (except Unova) Starters apply.

Seel, Dewgong, Shellder, Cloyster, Chinchou and Lanturn are all now fully released, following the update to Dream World done today.

Additionally, the new area, Rugged Mountain, has also been released. Therefore, the following Pokemon have also been fully released:
Mankey, Primeape, Machop, Machoke, Machamp, Magnemite, Magneton, Magnezone, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Rhyperior, Teddiursa, Ursaring, Slugma, Magcargo, Phanpy, Donphan, Tyrogue, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Magby, Magmar, Magmortar, Larvitar, Pupitar, TYRANITAR, Makuhita, Hariyama, Numel, Camerupt, Torkoal, Spinda, Trapinch, Cacnea, Cacturne, Absol, Bagon, Shelgon, SALAMENCE, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, Burmy, Wormadam (all formes), Mothim, HIPPOPOTAS, HIPPOWDON, Skorupi, Drapion, Croagunk and Toxicroak.

(Koffing, Weezing, Vibrava and Flygon were also released, but they don't have DW abilities. The Croagunk event is useless, as it only has a level-up move)
(P.S. Game Freak made it so Dragon Dance + Outrage + Moxie was illegal. DD + Moxie and Outrage + Moxie are now illegal, but the combination is not)

DW exclusive moves are still to be confirmed, but that note about Salamence is true.

Is Totodile released or not? PO keeps telling me that Sheer Force Ferali isn't allowed in WiFi and Sheer Force Croc isn't allowed in MC.

We have a script on the server where you can do /dwreleased [Pokemon] such as /dwreleased torchic which will return something like:

±Dratini: Torchic: Released as a Male only, can't have egg moves or previous generation moves!
So I suppose there's not much urgency to update this as there once was. I'll update the original post with information on this script.

If somebody here wants to take the time to update the information, feel free to post with the updates (the full post, in same format) and I'll edit it in.

Could someone well-informed please update this topic? I want to make an updated team after BW2 release, but I'm completely lost about what it's still illegal today.

(before someone link to Smogon's thread, I don't like the format of its DW abilities topic, i prefer a simple one like this one)
