    ==General==
    Sawk is one of the most threatening Pokemon in the tier, thanks to its amazing Base 125 Attack backed up by access to a powerful STAB move in Close Combat, and good coverage moves in Earthquake and Stone Edge. Its speed is average for NU standards, but it's enough to either break walls while holding a Choice Band, or to outspeed and revenge kill a huge portion of the tier while wearing a Choice Scarf. Sturdy, while not very reliable, allows it to be an emergency check for some threats if hazards aren't on the field. The perfect neutral coverage given by Close Combat, Earhtquake, and Stone Edge allows Sawk to run the most suitable 4th move based on the rest of the team.
    emon, comes handy at times

    ==Choice Band==:
    {{set|name=Choice Band|pkmn=Sawk|item1=Choice Band|ability=Sturdy|nature=Adamant|ev= 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SDef |move1= Close Combat|move2= Earthquake|move3= Stone Edge|move4= Reversal|move41= Toxic|move42= Poison Jab}}

    This set offers immediate power, hitting very hard since the first turn thanks to Sawk's high base 125 Attack further boosted by its item. Close Combat is the main move of the set, and it hits everything that doesn't resist it or is immune to it very hard, getting a 2HKO or 3HKO even on the sturdiest of the physical walls in the tier. The other moves give Sawk perfect neutral coverage, and are used mainly to hit Ghost types (Haunter and Golurk) harder, or Flying-types that could switch in and take a Close Combat easily (Rotom-S comes to mind). Earthquake hits the Poison-types in the tier very hard, OHKOing most of them, while the choice for the 4th move is up to preference. Reversal works very well with Sturdy, reaching 200 Base Power after Sturdy activates, allowing Sawk to become even more difficult to wall, allowing it to 2HKO Musharna and Weezing with 2 full powered Reversal with SR down:

    {{DamageCalc}}
    {{DamageCalc/Body
    |pkmn1=Sawk
    |atk= 252 Atk Adamant + CB
    |move= Reversal
    |pkmn2=Musharna
    |def= 252 HP/252 Def Impish
    |damage= 47% - 56%
    }}
    {{DamageCalc/Body
    |pkmn1=Sawk
    |atk= 252 Atk Adamant + CB
    |move= Reversal
    |pkmn2=Weezing
    |def= 252 HP/252 Def Impish
    |damage= 49% - 58%
    }}
    {{DamageCalc/Footer}}

    Toxic is another way to deal with the most common Pokemon that walls Sawk, since no one of the most common Sawk switch ins will enjoy to see its lifespan shortened by poison damage. Poison Jab is another good option since it allows Sawk to 2HKO Exeggutor on the switch easily, and also has a chance to poison, helping Sawk to wear down some of its counters.

    ==Choice Scarf==
    {{set|name=Choice Scarf|pkmn=Sawk|item1=Choice Scarf|ability=Sturdy|nature=Jolly|ev= 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SDef |move1= Close Combat|move2= Earthquake|move3= Stone Edge|move4= Toxic|move41= Reversal|move42= Poison Jab}}

    Choice Scarf turns Sawk into an amanzing Revenge Killer, allowing it to outspace every non boosted pokemon in the tier and still being able to dish out heavy damage. The moves are the same of the Choice Band set, since Sawk has a limited movepool, but they serve the purpose. Toxic is the superior option here, since it allows Sawk to wear down various walls that would otherwise cause it problems. Reversal, even without the Choice Band boost still has 300 power (factoring in STAB and assuming Sawk is at 1% of its HPs), and allows Sawk to turn some 3HKOs into 2HKOs, while Poison Jab hits Exeggutor hard on the switch and has a 30% chance to poison the opposing Pokemon.

    ==Other Options==
    Expert Belt might be an option to consider, since the best way to deal with Sawk is to predict what move it will use to send in the appropriate resist, with Payback on the 4th slot it could get some surprise kills. Sawk also learns Bulk Up that could be used as an attempt to sweep, and Taunt, that allows with some prediction to stop some walls to recover their own HPs, although there's not much Sawk can Taunt easily without risking to get KOd. Another option is to run Fling + Iron Ball, to kill most bulky Psychic types easily, although you still won't kill Musharna, and most other Psychic types are 2HKOd by Choice Band Close Combat with rocks down.

    ==Checks & Counters==
    Sawk has a very limited pool of counters, due to its coverage and sheer attacking power. Musharna is probably the best all around counter, since it can switch into any move then recover its health with Moonlight, Duosion does the same but is 2hkoed by the band set if it is not heavily defensive. Golurk is another counter, albeit not a very good one, since it lacks recovery,is 2hkoed by Earthquake from the Band set and Toxic damage will kill it sooner or later. Misdreavus and Weezing are also great counters, the two are 3hkoed at best by Stone Edge, are immune to or can remove Toxic, and can burn Sawk to cripple it for the rest of the match. It Sawk has a very limited pool of counters, due to its coverage and sheer attacking power. Musharna is probably the best all around counter, since it can switch into any move then recover its health with Moonlight, Duosion does the same. Golurk is another counter, albeit not a very good one, since it lacks recovery and Toxic damage will kill it sooner or later. Other 2 great counters are Weezing and Misdreavus, both of them are at best 3HKOd by Stone Edge (and 80 accuracy really hurts with this), both can burn it with Will-o-Wisp and both can Pain Split to get health back. Italso has a number of very good checks: Golbat is a great check to it, since it can switch in for free in 3 / 4 moves, and can stall out Stone Edge from the Scarfed set, Bulky Exeggutor can take everything bar Poison Jab, Haunter can switch in on ¾ of the moves as well, and set up a sub for free, although it can’t really switch into Stone Edge. Scarf Rotom-S is the all-around best pure revenge killer, since it resists Fighting and OHKOs back with Air Slash, although banded Close Combat will do a lot.

    ==General==
    * Sports an excellent Base 125 Attack
    * Base 85 Speed is good in NU, allowing it to outspace most of the tier with a Choice Scarf, or to break most walls and slow attackers with a Choice Band
    * Sturdy, although not 100% reliable on this kind of Pokemon, comes handy at times
    * Has perfect neutral coverage with 3 moves

    ==Choice Band==
    Sawk (M) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Close Combat
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge
    - Reversal / Toxic / Poison Jab / Frustration

    Set Comments
    * This set offers immediate power
    * Close Combat is a powerful, reliable STAB that hits most of the walls for a lot of damage
    * QuakeEdge gives perfect neutral coverage
    * The last slot is pretty much filler: Poison Jab kills Exeggutor, Frustration is another powerful and reliable attack, Toxic is to hit Sawk’s main counter on the switch (Musharna)
    * Max Attack and Speed for maximum power. Jolly may be chosen, but the damage output given by Adamant + Choice Band is absurd
    * Reversal has 200 Base Power after Sturdy activates, allowing Sawk to do massive damage to about everything, even resists

    ==Choice Scarf==
    Sawk (M) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Close Combat
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge
    - Toxic / Reversal / Poison Jab / Frustration

    Set comments
    * Choice Scarf turns Sawk into an amazing Revenge Killer
    * Same set as the Choice Bander, since the movepool is restricted
    * Toxic is the superior option here, to cripple incoming walls, since it lacks the power to break through most of them
    * Poison Jab 2HKOs offensive Exeggutor

    ==Other Options==
    * Since the best way to deal with Sawk is to predict what move it will use to send in the appropriate resist, an Expert Belt set that runs Payback in the 4th slot could get some surprise kills
    * Bulk Up and Taunt are both usable options, Bulk Up to attempt a sweep, Taunt to break through most walls easily
    * Another option is to run Fling + Iron Ball, to kill most bulky Psychic types easily

    Poison Jab still deserves a mention, even of the Scarf set. It can 2HKO offensive Exeggutor.

    In the counters section, I think you mean Rotom-S, not Rotom-W.

    You could also add Weezing and Misdreavus to counters, since CB Stone Edge is a 3HKO at most ( assuming max rolls all the time), while they can Will-O-Wisp back.

    Calcs:
    252Atk Choice Band Sawk (Neutral) Close Combat vs 252HP/252Def Leftovers Levitate Weezing (+Def): 26% - 32% (90 - 107 HP). Guaranteed 4HKO.

    252Atk Choice Band Sawk (Neutral) Stone Edge vs 252HP/252Def Leftovers Levitate Weezing (+Def): 30% - 35% (102 - 120 HP). Guaranteed 4HKO.

    252Atk Choice Band Sawk (Neutral) Stone Edge vs 252HP/252Def Eviolite Levitate Misdreavus (+Def): 32% - 38% (105 - 124 HP). Guaranteed 4HKO.[/HIDE]

    Looks pretty good, but I would watch the grammar in the other options sections:

    "Sawk has a very limited pool of counters, due to its coverage and sheer attacking power. Ok, although grammar in Skeletons isn't really important, I'll edit it, thanks

    I really need to get a seal for this.

    The only thing I could possibly say is to at least slash Jolly on the CB set, since a whole lotta shit rests between 75 and 85 in NU. But explaining it in the comments is probably enough.
