    == General ==
    *Great Base 95 Speed
    *Mostly used as a lead
    *Beats the common lead Exeggutor
    *75% Sleep move
    *Ice/Psychic gives it a nice offensive typing. Defensively, the Rock weakness hinders it
    *Very frail

    == Lead ==
    Jynx
    - Blizzard
    - Lovely Kiss
    - Psychic
    - Seismic Toss / Counter / Body Slam

    *Blizzard is STAB, forces Eggy out, and has a chance to freeze
    *Lovely Kiss is 75% accurate, standard sleep move
    *Psychic is for Gengar, Lapras, Cloyster, and helps against Chansey thanks to the Special drops
    *Seismic Toss hits for fixed damage. Does something to Slowbro, for example
    *Body Slam's main purpose is to paralyze. Don't expect it to do anything else.
    *Counter is useful for OHKOing Tauros (provided it does not get a favorable damage roll), and KOing Snorlax. However, should they crit, you are OHKOed.

    == Other Options ==
    *Ice Beam is an option if you want more PP, and want to have a chance at stalling Chansey. Otherwise, it's useless
    *Rest is mainly for Chansey, as it can stall with it, but it's risky. Allows the opponent free switch ins, which can be detrimental

    == Checks and Counters ==
    *Gengar outspeeds and can get the Sleep move before it. Should it miss, Psychic deals a huge chunk

    *Chansey
    *Starmie
    *Alakazam can paralyze it and Recover off the damage. A freeze is possible though.
    *Snorlax and Tauros can almost OHKO it, and will force it out. Beware of Counter
    *Slowbro

    Aren't Slowbro and Starmie good counters as well? They resist the whole moveset and spread paralysis / set up as Jynx switches out. Tauros can't really switch in without getting mauled terribly.

    Rest and Seismic Toss are probably better than Mimic, especially Rest.

    Imagine the following scenario. Zam vs. Jynx T1, Jynx is paralyzed, Zam gets slept. T2 Chansey comes in to soak the Blizzards/Psychics that'd hit mostly any other Pokémon hard. As Chansey TBolts and Softboiled's away, Jynx can just stand there and hope for a freeze, and when at low HP Rest. Stay in the first turn of sleep to see what your opponent switches to, soak up a likely Body Slam with Golem or Snorlax, then wait for Chansey to appear again - switch in Jynx, bam, and you are awake again.
    Rest Jynx is notable for forcing out Chansey like this, and that's not something many specialists can do.

    Also, I don't think I have seen a lot of Body Slams lately. They're good vs. Starmie, but I don't think that Starmie is too great of a switch-in vs. Jynx, because you'll just end up hitting Chansey instead of Jynx, so most of the time you'll hit Chansey or Snorlax. Neither are too bothered by paralysis.

    Counter used to be my move of choice, but it's not very good on a lead Jynx because you're likely to take either sleep or paralysis with it. Taking paralysis means you cannot come in later in the game on a Snorlax BSlam, sleep something and then Counter for massive damage. I advice it mostly on back-up sleep Jynx - could be the best with a Zam lead, as whenever you face Gengar leads with Zam they will switch to either Eggy or Chansey, which is when you switch to Jynx to get a free sleep and still have that healthy Jynx.

    Finally:
    Snorlax's Hyper Beam - 360-306 (108%-92%)
    Tauros's Hyper Beam - 338-287 (102%-86%)
    Both of those are possibly OHKO's without a critical hit, especially Snorlax.

    Still a good guide though.

    Is there Jynx other than Lead Jynx? That hypothetical scenario posed by Isa is still basically lead Jynx, just "disguised" as lead Zam, which nobody really does since Jynx matches up well enough against Gengar anyway.

    That being said, Counter works on Lead Jynx. If you take Sleep, it doesn't do much, but I see its main purpose as allowing Jynx to scare Snorlax somehow despite being paralyzed and too slow to get its Blizzards off. Also Tauros regardless of paralysis. They're not likely to be Hyper Beaming in the early game when something else could always switch in, survive, and do something nasty in return. Oh, and the play Counter gives you versus DE Eggy and SToss Zam is interesting too, though it's not the main reason you use it imo. The LK + Counter combo is cool, but realistically it's never happening unless you're gimmicking and specifically trying to pull it off. Even if you don't burn Sleep immediately, too many Specialists take Jynx on well enough for a Snorlax to risk staying in on LK, meaning you'd have to get Jynx to switch into a Body Slam and 25% para to get it to work. Not ideal.

    As for other 4th moves, Mimic should get an OO mention. It's really more of a gimmick than anything else, and often is just an outright waste of a turn. SToss' description: good for instant damage against Starmie, Slowbro, and in the Jynx mirror. Sure, Psychic falls could make Blizzard more powerful, but do you want to use Blizzard PP on something that resists it, even if it is at -1? If it were solely up to me, Body Slam would also get downgraded to OO because it doesn't do much of anything, but I know some other people like it so may as well have the analysis reflect that.

    Ice Beam is really only an option on Rest Jynx if you really just want a way for Freeze Chansey, even though regular Jynx with Blizzard does that well enough.

    Psychic is for stuff like Lapras and Cloyster in addition to Gengar and special falls against Starmie/Chansey.

    Since Jynx is a lead, I'd say in Checks and Counters or somewhere you discuss its lead matchups. Gengar could kinda-sorta be considered an anti-lead as it outspeeds and gets the Hypnosis off (though it does lose or at least trade much of the time due to Psychic weak and Hypnosis acc). Zam and Starmie easily para Jynx and render it much less threatening, though they can't really stop it from getting the LK off, and a para'd Jynx doesn't let Eggy get its Sleep Powder off, especially with Counter to dissuade DE. Jynx does particularly well against Eggy leads and the odd Hypno lead, as it outspeeds both and can even scare the former out with Blizz.

    Solid skeleton overall, though.

    I wouldn't really say a win ratio of 1/3 is a very good matchup, which is what Jynx has against Gengar.

    And Counter is very situational once you are paralyzed. You can't come in on any STAB Normal attacks since they all 2HKO you, so you have to come in after a Pokémon has died. From there, Earthquake+Hyper Beam is a guaranteed 2HKO, Counter-free combo. The only advantage Counter gives you in that situation is that your opponent cannot score a OHKO with a BSlam critical hit - and you don't need to actually have Counter to scare your opponent into doing Earthquake, just as long as you haven't shown your fourth move.

    Also, a list of good teammates would be fine. RBY doesn't really have those to the same extent as later generations (there's no SkarmBliss combo or anything like that), but some Pokémon still make for better teammates than others.

    Rest Jynx is really risky and hard to effectively get away with, just saying. I think only Seismic toss and Counter should stay in the main set. MAYBE Body Slam. Mimic is probably not even OO worthy.

    Starmie has generally been considered the best Jynx counter. Jynx's chance of freezing starmie before dying is slightly smaller than its chance of freezing chansey (probably something like 1/3 vs 2/5?), plus a frozen chansey is geenrally worse news than a frozen starmie.

    And the fact that jynx makes a great exeggutor counter, who is used in pretty much every team, should be definitely mentioned! It's definitely an important part of Jynx's usefuless

    I have read through all this thread. I will make the changes when I'm not on an Ipad that constantly ruins stuff I write >_>

    I did this at 2 am, so I can see why I missed a couple of important stuff. Thanks for pointing it out.

    EDIT: I think that's it. I'll start writing this up soonish, then make the changes on the wiki
