In all seriousness, why don't they have all 649 Pokemon?
There's little reason not to. D:

Look at dat Axew. It looks so silly.

Man I'm salty this is 3DS exclusive and I refuse to buy one for it.

Well since I have a 3DS I might give this game a try. I haven't really played any of the Mystery Dungeons before, but after playing Pokemon Conquest I kind of like these non-main games. They're just neat and not repetitive.

Weren't there like 40 dungeons in the Blue/Red rescue and like 60 in Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky?

Where does it say anything about the number of Pokemon? I can't find anything saying that.

Time/Darkness/Sky has way more Pokemon. (And cooler ones!)
I'm starting to think these Gen V spinoffs just want to show off the new mons.

The wonders of having a paycheck; you can actually buy something yourself!

Anyway, I found the Mystery Dungeon games to be alright but very repetitive and surprisingly restrictive, especially in the main story. I'll probably try and see how it is before going ahead and buying this one.

So about two more months till this game gets released. The problem I have with it is that I have never played a Mystery Dungeon game before. Should I start out with the original Mystery dungeons games or do they not really matter in terms of story?

The stories are all very similar, so you shouldn't have to worry about playing the first two.

You will love Red/Blue Rescue Team..
Seriously, the game in all honesty is awesome, and the ending looks so tragic at one point..
I advise, however, not due to any link in the next stories, just because it is a great non-main game, the best one i played..

Mystery Dungeon gets redundant IMO. I like the stories, but eventually it gets too hard without any fun as a bonus, or you spend all of your time grinding. I may try it out, with my shiny new Fire Emblem 3DS Bundle coming in soon, though my hopes aren't that high.

I never saw much grinding in these; at least in the traditional sense. Whenever you die, you have to go through the whole dungeon again anyway so it's not like making the trip specifically for grinding [as far as i remember anyway].

As for Gates to Infinity...SMH NO CYNDAQUIL. I'll probably get it anyway since my 3ds is kind of lacking in games and I currently use it primarily for DS stuff that needs L+R.
