==General== *Low HP *High defenses *Access to multiple boosting moves *Can weaken opponents with Power Split *Few weaknesses except Water and Steel ==Acupressure== Shuckle (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Power Split - Acupressure - Rest - Rollout/Stone Edge *Weak before Power Split. *Vulnerable to Sleep moves and Taunt. *Once it has 6+ boosts, it can heal damage from even crits and live easily. *Rollout's high power on later hits allows breaking of Substitutes. *Other moves can be used for more initial power, such as Stone Edge, but are generally inferior as they cannot beat other boosting Pokémon. *Stone Edge also has much less PP, and Shuckle will often get into PP stalls (which it often wins). *Rest recovers HP to maximum and protects Shuckle from status. *EVs maximize ability to take hits. ==Other Options== *A Contrary+Shell Smash set can be used to get reliable boosts in defenses, however it cannot damage outside of Toxic and is easily walled. In addition, it cannot increase Evasion. ==Check & Counters== *Shuckle is completely stopped by Taunt, and is severely crippled by Torment. *Tricking a Choice item onto Shuckle also beats it, unless the attacker is weak offensively and cannot take repeated Rollouts. *Strong fighting types such as Conkeldurr and Hariyama can KO Shuckle before it can get many boosts. *Water types and Jirachi hit Shuckle super effectively and can often win in two-three turns.
Mention Stone Edge has 8 PP. I ran gyro ball. Even at plus 6 it BARELY broke 100. And with more than 1000 atk... You should do the Contrary Shell Smash set as a main option. I see it a lot.
