[Skeleton] Krookodile

    This thing needs an analysis imo, amazing sweeper.

    ==General==
    • Unique Ground / Dark typing, giving it good coverage against most of the tier
    • Has a great 117 Attack and usable 92 Speed, making it a fast and strong Dark-type
    • Great coverage+Pursuit is also awesome
    • Has an awesome ability in Moxie, so as it gets stronger with every kill
    • These qualities allow Krookodile to handily pull sweeps out of thin air
    • While its typing is amazing offensively, it hurts defensively
    • Outsped by Scarf Mienshao, a prominent force in the tier
    • Both of its moves have drawbacks when locked into Scarf
    • Faces competition from Honchkrow as a Moxie cleaner
    • Still, Krookodile is a very useful Pokemon as a great cleaner and revenge killer

    Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Moxie
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Crunch
    - Stone Edge / Superpower
    - Pursuit

    • Krookodile's cookie cutter cleaning and revenge killing set
    • Has awesome coverage to boot and fine Speed
    • Pursuit is a cool tool in its arsenal as well
    • Earthquake is STAB, hits hard and strong
    • Crunch is second STAB to beat Azelf and friends 1v1 while delivering blows to Cofagrigus and Slowbro much harder
    • Stone Edge is to beat Crobat and Rotom-H
    • Superpower, however, allows it to beat Scrafty and Snorlax but has the drawback of Attack dropping, so it can't sweep with it
    • Pursuit to trap fleeing Azelf and maybe Cofagrigus

    ==Choice Band==

    Krookodile @ Choice Band
    Trait: Moxie / Intimidate
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Crunch
    - Stone Edge
    - Pursuit

    • Has immediate power to sweep down slower teams as well as surprise factor
    • Gives up the revenge killing prowess for wallbreaking
    • Earthquake is powerful STAB
    • Crunch because duh
    • Stone Edge is coverage against Crobat and Rotom-H
    • Pursuit is good way to trap Azelf expecting a Scarf

    ==Other Options==
    • Bulk Up
    • Fire Fang
    • Aqua Tail
    • Rock Slide
    • Foul Play
    • Not much else, really

    ==Checks and Counters==
    • Scarf Mienshao
    • Tangrowth
    • Virizion
    • Heracross
    • Something absurdly bulky as long as it hasn't attained enough boosts
    • Try and lock it into the wrong move

    That Ground/Dark typing really is hard to wall, huh?

    I'd also list Bronzong as a counter, as the Scarf set can't beat 252/252 Relaxed Bronzong even after a boost:

    +1 252 Atk Krookodile Crunch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Bronzong: 118-141 (34.91 - 41.71%) -- 79.32% chance to 3HKO

    That's all I got though. :D

    I'd mention Expert Belt in OO, since its really useful to bluff a choice item and then get the drop on an immunity or resist.

    I recommend you take rock slide out of the OO, because Krookodile needs that immediate power from Stone Edge to do what it needs to do, break things. It can't rely on Rock Slide's 90 BP and low chance to flinch to do that.

    Actually, Rock Slide reduces miss hax, something that's important in high laddering, but still definitely Stone Edge > Rock Slide.

    Maybe slash an Adamant Nature on both sets? A little bit more power could come in useful.

    C&C you could add Hitmontop. Maybe add one or two examples on "absurdly bulky" just so people reading it will see just how bulky? Azumarill's Aqua Jet outspeeds and hits quite hard, and Sableye has a +1 Priority Will-O-Wisp to burn

    Could bulky water-types such as Milotic, Blastoise and Suicune prove counters because of their nice defense stats and other features? Milotic can take damage all day with Marvel Scale + Status, Blastoise can spin hazards and Suicune can set-up while all three (3) can Scald and possibly burn Krookodile.
    Speaking of which, status should be mentioned in C&C too (Will-O-Wisp and Stun Spore in particular)!

    I think with all of the suggestions edited into the Skeleton I would probably approve this, but sadly I'm not a Wifi UU QC (yet) but hoping to become one soon though if I'm more active!
