    Hey guys and girls!

    Let's hope I didn't mess this one (1) up. D:

    ==General==
    *Got better in 5th Gen due to having an amazing ability in Magic Bounce, which allows it to come in on many Pokemon and moves.
    *While this ability will make her more of a support Pokemon, Xatu also sports very usable offense and speed stats.
    *Has a unique and wide movepool, from Reflect to Heat Wave.
    *Unfortunately a Psychic typing leaves it weak to Pursuit and a Flying typing weak to Volt Switch (it does luckily have access to U-Turn, however).
    *Has five (5) weaknesses; Dark, Ghost, Electric, Ice and Rock, which stops holds back her effectiveness a little bit.
    *Overall, a fantastic support Pokemon however don't expect her to do everything.

    ==Support==
    Xatu @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
    Trait: Magic Bounce
    EVs: 252 HP / 240 SDef / 16 Spd
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Toxic / Thunder Wave
    - Roost
    - U-Turn
    - Heat Wave / Night Shade / Psychic

    *This is Xatu's main set, which it can bounce back hazards, Taunt and status, and set-up Xatu's own status and also "stall", to some extent.
    *EVs are used so Xatu can take Special attacks with ease, while 16 Spd EVs allow her to outspeed Omastar, NSpd Arcanine, NSpdUxie and (other) NSpd Xatu with no Speed investment. Please note that Careful Nature can be used if Night Shade is used over Heat Wave, to maximize U-Turn damage.
    *Leftovers can be used for that always-useful extra health, while Rocky Helmet can be used for stalling a little better as the opponent takes damage from Physical attacks.
    *Toxic has the advantage of crippling Pokemon that Xatu can't touch, however Thunder Wave can cripple those Choice Scarfers and generally faster Pokemon.
    *Roost allows Xatu to come in more times than without it as it can heal up any damage lost that could affect the whole battle.
    *U-Turn gets her to avoid Pursuit, and switch out with doing little damage (it's still something, though).
    *Finally, while Night Shade allows for an effective 100 HP on anything except Normal-type Pokemon, Heat Wave can hurt Durant, Bronzong, and other Steel-types that wall Xatu easier. Psychic could also be used as it gives Xatu a STAB move to use, however it may not necessarily be that powerful.

    ==Dual Screens==
    Xatu @ Light Clay
    Trait: Magic Bounce
    EVs: 252 HP / 240 SDef / 16 Spd
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Reflect
    - Light Screen
    - Roost
    - Night Shade / Confuse Ray / Toxic

    *As well as a support-stall set, Xatu can run a Dual Screens set coupled with Light Clay to support other teammates (generally wall-breakers).
    *Dual Clay, for those who don't know, increase the length of Reflect and Light Screen from 5 turns to 8 turns, which can be very useful and can depend on life or death.
    *Reflect and Light Screen are the crux of the set, and these two (2) moves allow Xatu to help other members either set-up or sweep.
    *Roost is used so Xatu can have a better chance of setting up both screens, or attempt to "stall" with Toxic.
    *Night Shade can be used to deal an even 100 HP of damage to anything that isn't a Normal-type, Confuse Ray can be used to take out those strong Physical attackers that can't take out Xatu in one shot, while Toxic allows Xatu to stall by itself.

    ==Other Options==
    *248 HP / 204 Def / 56 Spd EVs are an option for the first (1st) set if Xatu wants to run Physically Defensive. 56 Spd EVs are used to also outspeed Bisharp, Hitmontop, Miltank, Zapdos and Mew (the latter three (3) with no investment), as well as the ones mentioned on the first (1st) set.
    *Grass Knot could be used on the first (1st) set to take on Rhyperior, Milotic and Suicine better, however the move isn't too reliable.
    *Even a Choice Scarf set can be viable if used properly, however other Pokemon that mainly run Choice Scarf, such as Heracross and Victini, get the job done a lot better thanks to their more powerful moves and higher attacking sets.
    *Haze and Tailwind can also be used for supporting teammates, and can be used on the Dual Screens set.
    *Trick Room is an interesting move, as since Xatu is able to bounce back hazards, status and Taunt, all of which Trick room abusers hate, while it can keep momentum with U-Turn too.
    *Even Rain Dance could be used, and it can help both Kingdra and Tornadus with their attacks! Sunny Day doesn't do too much, however.

    ==Checks and Counters==
    *Many Choice Scarf Pokemon, such as Mienshao, Victini and Heracross can OHKO Xatu (that aren't under screens) with either Stone Edge or Bolt Strike.
    *Suicune and Raikou are formidable counters, as Suicune can Rest up to remove status and negotatite stall, while Raikou has Substitute to block status and set-up Calm Mind.
    *Speaking of which, Substitute can stop Xatu from doing it's job, or even worse, allow Pokemon to set-up while Xatu either switches out or does something not-needed. Therefore, a Pokemon that runs Haze, such as Cryogonal or Cofagrigus, can be good teammates to stop this from happening.
    *Stealth Rock (when used correctly) can easily wear down Xatu.
    *Togekiss can get lucky and proceed to ParaFlinch, as Magic Bounce doesn't bounce back secondary effects.
    *Without Night Shade, Mismagius can set-up a Substitute and Nasty Plot on it.

    Might want to put Psychic on the support set to give Xatu and attacking STAB option. Grass Knot might also seem viable at first glance to nail Rhyperior.

    I recommend putting Mismagius as a check as it can substitute and set up in front of Xatu as long as it doesn't carry Night Shade.

    And a nitpick for the wording, I wouldn't say Xatu "boasts" 5 weaknesses, as it isn't anything to boast about. Just say it has 5 weaknesses.

    Thank you both! I have put Grass Knot in OO and not in the actual set! :)

    Any reason for going specially defensive over physical? With Xatu's key resistance to Fighting, going physically defensive would let it take on the likes of Mienshao a lot easier, and also make much better use of the Rocky Helmet.

    Oh also, never suggest 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef as a defensive spread on anything (except maybe Ferrothorn). It's just a terrible spread. 248 HP would probably be the HP investment I'd recommend, just in case your opponent DOES manage to get SR down.

    Xatu is a great pokemon to set up Trick Room, being able to bounce back hazards/status/taunt, all of which Trick room abusers hate, while keeping momentum with U-Turn. Maybe worth mentioning in "other options".

    Oh and specially defensive lets it take on Roserade, the premier Spiker in UU. Since it quad resists fighting-moves anyway investing in defense is rather pointless.

    Thank you both! I'll edit this shortly!
