    An old Ghost to do, but it needs an analysis, so here we go! Oughtta get this up while I continue working on Mismagius.

    ==General==
    • Rare typing that gives it no weaknesses
    • Pretty good bulk as well, and usable offensive stats
    • Has Psychic immunity and Pursuit+Sucker Punch making it a great Psychic killer in LU
    • Ghost typing also means it has nice spinblocking ability
    • Somewhat versatile in Trapper, CroTomb, and Defensive
    • Pressure is a cool ability
    • Slow as hell
    • No reliable recovery
    • Movepool is really small so it is somewhat predictable
    • Nonetheless, Spiritomb is a great asset to a lot of teams

    • This set does what it does best; kill Psychic-types and spinners
    • Strong bulk, good power, and the mindgame put its needed targets in a bad position
    • BlackGlasses for freedom of moves, for offense, while CB is for raw power on teams that can afford setup
    • Sucker Punch is for strong priority that makes Spiritomb a nice revenge killer
    • Pursuit traps all fleeing Cryogonal, Mesprit, etc.
    • Shadow Sneak is useful priority to pick off stuff
    • Last slot is all up to you
    • Will-O-Wisp burns Kabutops and friends to weaken physical attackers
    • Foul Play provides a nice tool against SDing Kabutops
    • Trick removes CB to cripple things like Roselia and Dusclops

    • It's a strong bulky sweeper
    • Good bulk, so CM will make it formidable while RestTalk+Pressure is annoying
    • No weaknesses and lack of type immunity helps
    • CM is to boost to make Spiritomb scary
    • Dark Pulse is a solid and reliable STAB move to use
    • Rest is recovery to keep Tomb healthy
    • Sleep Talk is to make sure Tomb can boost or hit while asleep

    • Spiritomb is a capable defensive Pokemon with its bulk and typing
    • While it doesn't have the bulk of Dusclops or the bug resistance, Spiritomb has Foul Play and Psychic immunity
    • Will-O-Wisp is there to burn physical attackers to wall better
    • Foul Play to hit Kabutops and gang hard
    • Rest or Pain Split are there as recovery options
    • Sleep Talk is to do something in Rest, while Shadow Sneak provides priority to use

    == General ==
    Spiritomb is a very unique Pokemon in the LU metagame. It has a rare Dark / Ghost type, shared only with the UU {{5guu|Sableye}}. With this typing, Spiritomb is granted with no weaknesses, while it also has good bulk to back it up. Spiritomb has useful immunities to Normal-, Fighting-, and Psychic-type moves, which allow it to check a wide array of threats such as {{5glu|Cinccino}}, {{5glu|Mesprit}}, and {{5glu|Hitmonlee}}. Its Normal immunity also grants it the ability to spinblock, and Spiritomb has what it needs to take on the prominent spinners in the tier. Spiritomb also has great tools in its movepool such as [[Sucker Punch]], [[Pursuit]], [[Foul Play]], and [[Will-O-Wisp]], which allow it to combat the tier very effectively. Spiritomb is also not entirely one dimensional, and can do a couple of things effectively.

    That said, Spiritomb does come with some pretty glaring flaws. Its movepool, while providing it enough for it to succeed, gives it very lacking coverage, leaving it bait for Steel-types such as {{5glu|Escavalier}} and {{5glu|Bisharp}}. Spiritomb also lacks reliable recovery outside of [[Pain Split]] or [[Rest]], which leaves Spiritomb very vulnerable to being worn down over time. Spiritomb also lacks useful resistances, and also faces competition from {{5glu|Dusclops}} as a defensive Ghost-type. However, Spiritomb's utility allows it to become a great fit on a variety of teams.

    This is Spiritomb's best set in the LU metagame. It fills the role of a revenge killer, spinblocker, and Psychic-type trapper. Although its movepool is small, Spiritomb can use its movepool to handle threats such as {{5glu|Sigilyph}}, {{5glu|Cryogonal}}, and {{5glu|Cinccino}}. Spiritomb also has good bulk and a lack of weaknesses, so it can take hits rather well too. [[Sucker Punch]] is the main move here; giving strong priority to allow Spiritomb to revenge kill faster Pokemon. [[Pursuit]] allows Spiritomb to bring the hurt to anything that tries to flee; and between Sucker Punch and Pursuit, Spiritomb can put its needed targets in a bad position. [[Shadow Sneak]] is a good priority move that is more reliable than Sucker Punch, and can be used to pick off weakened targets. Finally, the last move is up to what Spiritomb aims to do. [[Will-O-Wisp]] burns opposing physical attackers so they don't last long, while [[Foul Play]] allows Spiritomb to deal heavy damage to such Pokemon. [[Trick]], however, can be used with a Choice Band to cripple walls such as {{5glu|Dusclops}}.

    Spiritomb can also make for a great bulky sweeper with Calm Mind, and can use its bulk and lack of weaknesses to set up with relative ease. Its good Special Attack also helps, so it can hit fairly hard after numerous boosts while being very difficult to take down. [[Calm Mind]] is Spiritomb's primary boosting move, increasing Spiritomb's bulk and power. [[Dark Pulse]] is Spiritomb's best STAB move; with its power and reliability. It is chosen over [[Shadow Ball]] as no Pokemon are immune to Dark-type moves. [[Rest]] is a good recovery move to keep Spiritomb healthy, and with Calm Mind, Spiritomb can survive the sleep turns easily. [[Sleep Talk]] is chosen so Spiritomb can grab Calm Mind boosts or attack even during the sleep cycle.

Although it faces heavy competition from {{5glu|Dusclops}}, Spiritomb stands out from the cyclops with its access to [[Foul Play]] as well as an immunity to Psychic-type moves. It can take on many threats such as {{5glu|Cinccino}}, {{5glu|Kabutops}}, and {{5glu|Mesprit}}, while Pressure is also a great ability. Will-O-Wisp is a great move that allows Spiritomb to cripple physical attackers as well as wear them down. Foul Play is a good STAB move that is strong and reliable; it also punishes Pokemon such as {{5glu|Kabutops}}. [[Rest]] is a fine recovery move that allows Spiritomb to stay healthy, while [[Sleep Talk]] ensures Spiritomb can accomplish something while it is asleep. [[Pain Split]], on the other hand, is a somewhat reliable recovery option that can also damage the opponent, and prevents Spiritomb from being a deadweight. [[Shadow Sneak]] is a good priority move that allows Spiritomb to revenge kill weakened opponents.

    === Other Options ===
    Spiritomb has a relatively small movepool, which means there isn't much for it to effectively use aside from the options listed above. [[Psychic]] is a notable option that allows Spiritomb to damage Fighting-types such as {{5glu|Hitmonchan}}, although Spiritomb is relatively strapped for moveslots to begin with. [[Shadow Ball]] is a decent Ghost STAB that Spiritomb can make use of; but [[Sucker Punch]] and [[Foul Play]] are better STAB options to use. [[Nasty Plot]] is a usable option if Spiritomb wants to sweep; but this is heavily outclassed by {{5glu|Mismagius}} due to its much better Speed. [[Curse]] can be used in conjunction with Pain Split to allow Spiritomb to stall the opponent, but {{5glu|Dusclops}} is much better at this role due to its greater bulk. It's good to know Spiritomb has access to some support moves such as [[Taunt]], [[Rain Dance]], and [[Sunny Day]], but unfortunately Spiritomb is too slow to make good use of any of these moves.

    === Checks and Counters ===
    {{5glu|Bisharp}} can endure anything Spiritomb has to offer, and proceed to use Spiritomb as setup fodder. {{5glu|Mandibuzz}} can also endure hits from Spiritomb, and can use Taunt to prevent it from accomplishing anything, while threatening it with [[Foul Play]] or [[Brave Bird]]. {{5glu|Escavalier}} and {{5glu|Aggron}} can come in on Spiritomb with ease, and proceed to smash it with their powerful attacks. {{5glu|Hitmonchan}} can bypass Spiritomb's spinblocking prowess with [[Foresight]], while it can hit it hard with [[Drain Punch]]. If all else fails, entry hazard damage and repeated attacks will wear Spiritomb down and lead to its slow demise.[/HIDE]

    Mention Toxic in OO.
    Mention in the offensive ones some speed evs for speed creep over other pokes of similar speed, mostly other Spiritomb.
