XY Ubers Creative And Boring Sets.
    [IMG][IMG]
Well I figured I'd go ahead and start this thread.(I know, its just like the UU one but I really thought it'd go nice with XY Ubers and it would get the people to talk about Ubers) I really was surprised that no one had started this earlier. Ubers has a lot to offer and I'm pretty sure many XY Ubers players have some boring, nice, interesting, as well as some signature sets they'd like to share. I really hope you guys will love this thread. I'll kick start off this thread by posting one of my favourite sets:

DBZ Drago. (Rayquaza) @ Life Orb / Lum berry (Its initially Life Orb)
    Trait: Air Lock
    EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - Outrage / Dragon Claw (Its initially Outrage)
    - Extreme Speed
    - V-create

This Power-hungry set I actually came up with Lacus Clyne while I was building my Total Base Stat Limitation Challenge team. I know what you guys are thinking why Life Orb? Why Outrage>Dragon Claw? Why have Dragon Dance if you have Life Orb? Well this set is purely meant for Hyper offensive teams which include Ray. I use Life Orb simply for more power. I use Outrage simply for more power. My reasons might seem a bit off but its just how I like this set. Make the right switch in and you're a shoe in for setting up Dragon Dance. 40 HP just gives it a bit more bulk and 216 gives it enough speed to out speed Modest Scarf kyo at +1. (I wont lie Lum seems to be a better option)

    Calcs:
    252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Giratina: 398-468 (78.9 - 92.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Groudon: 231-274 (57.1 - 67.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    +1 252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Groudon: 348-411 (86.1 - 101.7%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
    +1 252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza Outrage vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Multiscale Lugia: 148-174 (35.5 - 41.8%) -- 85.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
    +1 252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza Outrage vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Lugia: 296-348 (71.1 - 83.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    (Lugia at 98% health)
    252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Arceus: 265-313 (59.6 - 70.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    252+ Atk Life Orb Rayquaza V-create vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Xerneas: 325-383 (82.4 - 97.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO[/HIDE]

Props to PkParaiso for the models

    Gyarados (F) @ Gyaradosite
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 204 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - Waterfall
    - Taunt
    - Earthquake

Some of you might have seen me ladder with this beauty on an alt, but if you haven't let me explain. This set really shines against defensive teams, but it can do a ton damage to offensive teams just as easily. With Intimidate in its regular form and great 95/109/130 defenses even to Ubers standards, this thing is in fact bulkier than Arceus. The main move on this set is Taunt however. It's absolutely fantastic against those slower, defensive teams and once you get Gyarados in vs Giratina or something usually the game is over. Taunt as they wisp/roar and then Dragon Dance. Its speed isn't fantastic, but with these EVs it outspeeds Arceus at +1 and everything at +2. It actually lives Scarf Thunders from Kyogre in Mega form, so yeah try it out!

    Yveltal @ Big Root
    Trait: Dark Aura
    EVs: 72 Atk / 252 SAtk / 184 Spd
    Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
    - Dark Pulse
    - Oblivion Wing
    - Sucker Punch
    - Substitute

I love this set. Oblivion Wing is the strongest life draining move in the game, so why not take advantage of it? Max HP to fully max out the power of Oblivion Wing, and Substitute to troll the opponent, as this set will 2HKO almost everything, it also hits Chansey extremely hard with Sucker Punch. I really love this set since it extends the longevity of Yveltal, try it out!

    Xerneas @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Fairy Aura
    EVs: 252 Atk / 240 Spd / 16 SAtk
    Naive Nature
    IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
    - Rock Slide
    - Close Combat
    - Moonblast
    - Night Slash

I have been using this set for a few days. Admittedly, I am still more partial to the basic Geo+Power Herb, but this has been a nice change of pace. Rock Slide deals with Ho-Oh, Zard, etc. Night Slash and CC take care of Steel types, Gengar, and Chansey, when they are switched in to check Xerneas. At first I ran Megahorn over Night Slash because it was a guaranteed OHKO on Mewtwo, but Gengar was v annoying. Tried Ebelt over Scarf as well, but Xern's average speed hurts. Tbh I might just get rid of Night Slash for HP Fire and use something else to deal with Gengar.

    [secret]252 Atk Xerneas Night Slash vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 234-276 (89.3 - 105.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Xerneas Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Blissey: 476-562 (66.6 - 78.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

    252 Atk Xerneas Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Ho-Oh: 360-428 (86.5 - 102.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

16 SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Yveltal: 356-420 (90.5 - 106.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

16 SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Mega Mewtwo X: 348-410 (98.5 - 116.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

    252 Atk Xerneas Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Lucario: 294-346 (104.6 - 123.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO[/secret]

    Aegislash (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Stance Change
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Toxic
    - King's Shield
    - Shadow Ball
    - Gyro Ball

This set is totally amazing. Mixed Support Aegi surprises most of my opponents. With Toxic Aegislash can irritate many stall teams
with addition to its typing, helping it resist Toxic itself which most stall teams carry around. Shadow ball comes in handy when facing
Pokemon that don't have a high sp.def or when facing Pokemon like Mewtwo (Megas included). Gyro ball>Iron Head mainly because Gyro
ball can OHKO a +2 Spd. Xerneas and it generally does better for me. This Bad Boy will surely rule Ubers for quite some time.

    CorsolaMan (Arceus-Steel) @ Iron Plate
    Trait: Multitype
    EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Iron Head
    - Extreme Speed
    - Swords Dance
    - Recover

Ever heard the legend of CorsolaMan?

I like this thing, it's probably pretty boring, but really good. it's only 3HKOd by +2 Xerneas Tbolt, so unless it runs Focus Blast, this thing is a great Xern counter. It also counters alot of other common mons (Ekiller Arceus, Yveltal (unless Foul Play), [email protected] (not too common tho), Lugia and Chansey, and checks many more. If you can set up to +2 late game, the game is usually yours, tho it needs +4 to guarantee a sweep. Dw, with good typing and decent bulk, it's actually not that hard. Weak to the likes of Aegislash/Ferrothorn/Ho-oh, but can also set up on the first 2.

Speed is to speedcreep Modest Xerneas, and slapped on an extra point to outspeed (very) random base 100's Neutral.

    Bossness (Lugia) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Defog
    - Roost
    - Thunder
    - Toxic

That time when you have used your Arceus for an Ekiller, and your team is so weak to Yveltal + Mewtwo that you can't use Giratina for Defogging, only this Lugia left to do this job

-it doesn't only defog though, it's a great Ho-Oh switch-in, as it does't care about breaking Multiscale with a burn, it has a HUGE physically defensive bulk as it can easily stall Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire's PP, or Ho-Oh's Brave Birds until the recoil Damage becomes dangerous, then Ho-Oh needs to Roost, while Lugia can Thunder ( even breaks Ho-Oh's Substitute)

-Toxic is useful on Ho-Oh and a lot on Groudon, the many Arceus forms
-it's an Ekiller Switch-In, Lum Berry is a bit harder to handle but still possible
-Stealth Rock is a big pain, it's better to switch Lugia into the SR user instead of defogging later
-Thunder can be useful against Kyogres and Mewtwo-Evos as Lugia uses thunder on the Taunt turn, then Mewtwo-X can't KO quickly while it might get prlzed

    Gothitelle @ Leftovers
    Ability: Shadow Tag
    EVs: 244 Spd / 252 HP / 12 SDef
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Rest
    - Calm Mind
    - Taunt
    - Psyshock
(Credit to Pizza Delivery for the EVs)

Gothitelle is an amazing check to Support Arceus Formes since it can trap them and set up CM on them. This set is only run on a sticky web team, as it outspeeds Arceus and can taunt it, while on other teams like spike stacking teams, a more bulkier version of Gothitelle is used. It takes a little prediction (vs a good player) to bait Arceus out, but once trapped, there's not much a support Arceus can do unless it has perish song or roar (or is CM Ghostceus or Darkceus). All in all, it's an amazing utility mon to run on hazard stack and sticky web teams, and can also trap other special offensive stuff like Kyogre trapped in thunder/ice beam ( it can even setup CM on surf if rain isn't up), but it can't sweep very well due to being horribly weak on physical side, and having very low speed, and gets hardcountered by defog Giratina-O or Scizor.

I just got it from Hack so I was giving him credit for giving me the spread. I know he didn't make the set(although I used to think it was Dice who made the set lol). I put Donkey there now :]]]

    Palkia @ Absorb Bulb
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Spacial Rend
    - Hydro Pump
    - Thunder
    - Fire Blast
(This worked so much better last gen) Kinda self-explanatory, switch into Kyogre's Water Spout/Surf and get +1 in Sp. Atk with Absorb Bulb and do crazy damage, p sure nothing can switch in bar Chansey, but regardless +1 Hydro Pump in rain is very strong.

Wow almost everything in here I've seen before. ZoroDark's gyara spread is cool, whilst The Simpson Menace is showing a poorly EV'd version of a standard and pretty average mon. Sasha's set is kinda original, much as I don't totally see the point.

Anyway not to double post, here's a set I've started to test, which Melee Mewtwo contributed a lot in terms of creating it.
    Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Substitute
    - Shadow Force
    - Shadow Sneak
    - Dragon Tail

Try that on for size, a Gira-O that's not xern bait totally, and can beat it if it has at least ~10% prior damage :]
