I look at the Groudon of the Omega Ruby more and I feel like it could be the one from Jirachi Wishmaker, or maybe not
I said the exact same thing when I saw it and people were like 'but that's how groudon looks. it glows and shit on the overworld' or something. Never played Ruby and can't remember Emerald for the life of me so I just went with it. That and Jirachi Groudon was blue lines on the back and not magma but w/e.
I'm very happy it's getting a remake, even if the first time I played RSE was only 4 years ago. I found out about it from randomly checking Serebii on Wednesday, nice surprise to see. Bring back the contests, Secret Bases, Battle Frontier, and give us a better Safari Zone than the Friend Safari.
I want Mega Durant, but since it's a hoenn remake... :c I'm interested in how they will make contests work in 3d but mostly i'm interested to play Ruby/Sapphire in XY style
Am I really the only one who doesn't have any hype at all for these? I haven't enjoyed playing the games for years and years, they simply don't have anything compared to Competitive. Then again I had this same view for X/Y and people spammed the living shit out of spoilers/hype for it so I probably am the only one.
I feel the same way, but new games = new moves and new mons (and I don't know how you can't be excited for that).
A Safari Zone where you can use regular catching methods and has unlimited steps is undoubtedly a good thing. However, I didn't like that you only got 3 Pokémon with each and the fact that you had to have Friend Codes to use it at all. I'd like to see a basic safari zone that can be improved on with Friend Codes.
I would like the return of a regular safari zone with the added addition post E4, but they should add more areas for gen 4 and 5 pokemon in my opinion. Also more options for gen 2 than what they had, because in emerald it was pretty lackluster for most of the pokemon. Oooo, just realized original battle frontier with 7 facilities would be awesome to play again. Though, I really do hope for more variety in terms of pokemon to play with for a run through, or some pretty cool post game stuff otherwise I'm gonna be a little sad with these remakes.
err I personally don't think a Gen 4 remake is next. I don't mind it happening, but I mean it hasn't been that long since the Sinnoh games came up (5-7 years), and every *new* remake (not Crystal, Emerald, Platinum) seems to have some kind of 10 year thing, like Gold + Silver (2000) -> HeartGold + SoulSilver (2010), and Ruby + Sapphire (2003) -> Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (2014), so a Sinnoh remake could take around 5 more years
I want the Elite 4 to once again be stronger during rematches. Takes too long to level grind when the champion's strongest Pokemon is only level 68.
Expecting a hype killer at some point, like a £90 pricetag or dumb required online content or something stupid. Seems too good to be true. Awesome if it's as awesome as I'd hope it would be. Spoiler
"A new trademark has been discovered as being registered by Nintendo, GameFreak and Creatures Inc. in Japan. This trademark is for デルタエメラルド Delta Emerald. In addition to this, in the US, at the same time as the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire domains were registered, one was registered for Pokémon Delta Emerald. This trademark registration is not likely to be indicative of a game release, but rather covering bases in a similar manner to the registration of Pokémon Water Blue back in 2004 and numerous other Pokémon names over the past 10 years including Pokémon Grey. We'll bring more as it comes"- Serebii
In addition to the new Megas, Mega Sceptile has Lightning Rod and Mega Swampert has Swift Swim. If Swampert gets 9 points faster, it will be able to outrun Scarfed base 108s in the rain. As for its new Grass/Dragon typing, since Sceptile can learn both Dragon Pulse and Outrage, it's not as daft as it first looks. I'm looking forward to trying them out. What I hope they'll be like: Sceptile HP: 70 - 70 Attack: 80 - 115 Defence: 65 - 65 Special Attack: 105 - 140 Special Defence: 65 -65 Speed: 120 - 150 Swampert HP: 100 - 100 Attack: 110 - 150 Defence: 90 - 120 Special Attack 85 - 85 Special Defence: 90 - 110 Speed: 60 - 70
the abilities that swampert and sceptile have are huge let downs imo i wanted the strong contrary mega sceptile :c
I wouldn't call an immunity to electric attacks, most notably thunder wave along with its immunity to spore/powder moves a huge let down...
Mega Sceptile to push Rotom-W out of top tier OU. Lightningrod isn't bad at all for something so fast. A free +1 off of any Volt Switch/Thunder Wave will be scary to play around. Grass/Dragon has subpar offensive coverage, and the defensive spread isn't amazing, but it should be fairly useful in OU and UU.
didn't think about thunder wave tbf sounds good. Mega Swampert is going to be a monster though if they buff it's offenses further or speed.
Well, guess i'l speculate on the stat changes too. Mega Swampert looks incredibly muscular, and i find it hard that it will get a Speed boost, seeing as other Mega Evolutions like Mega Abomasnow and Mega Heracross also look much bigger than their regular formes and got their speed lowered. Another one that looks much bigger, Mega Aggron, had no Speed changes. Swampert HP: 100 -> 100 Attack: 110 -> 150 Defense: 90 -> 130 Sp. Atk: 85 -> 95 Sp. Def: 90 -> 110 Speed: 60 -> 50 Mega Sceptile can enter the category of Dragon-type pokemon who have their primary offensive capabilites on Sp. Atk. Before Gen 6, Hydreigon was the only fully evolved Dragon with bigger Sp. Atk than Attack (Kingdra and Altaria have equal stats). With only 70 new pokemon (excluding mega evos), they gave us Dragalge, Goodra and Noivern to join that exclusive group. Otherwise, it can happen something similar to what happened to Mega Zard X, getting equal stats, where previously the stats leaned towards special offense. I would go with the latter. Sceptile HP: 70 -> 70 Attack: 85 -> 120 Defense: 65 -> 75 Sp. Atk: 105 -> 120 Sp. Def: 85 -> 95 Speed: 120 -> 150 Also, these predictions have a 99% chance of being right, since my father is John Game Freak, CEO of the company he gave his name to.
bs i wanted 3d maneuver gear Really though, Hoenn in 3D is a childhood dream come true, and these graphics don't disappoint.
Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre. Fuck diagonal movement, I want my LEGENDARY ARCEUS I MEAN IF I CAN'T HAVE MEGA SNORLAX THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME CONSOLATION PRIZE.
holy shit and oh wow Archie's black now and the main guy character has brown hair but then again, what if we could ride Latios/Latias like the dude in the video in the game? even though it wouldn't serve much of a purpose it'd still be cool oh and Mega Sableye's shield thing looks like a giant red rupee from zelda
