    Overall:
    *Badass Design
    *Solid base 115 attack
    *Access to Mega Stone
    *Prankster Destiny Bond
    *Massive base 165 Attack when Mega
    *Usable base 75 speed when mega, also usable for TR
    *64/73/85 bulk, slightly below average but workable.
    *Access to Knock Off, and a reliable Ghost stab.
    *Priority <3
    *All 3 Abilities are viable
    *Only NU Mega

    Mega Banette
    Banette (M) @ Banettite
    Trait: Frisk / Insomnia / Cursed Body
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / Spe
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Destiny Bond
    - Knock Off / Shadow Sneak
    - Shadow Claw / Phantom Force
    - Sucker Punch / Taunt

    *Item for obvious reasons. When mega evolved, Banette has sky high attack, and gets Prankster.
    *With said sky high attack, Shadow Claw, Phantom Force and Shadow Sneak are all good STAB to do a lot of damage.
    *Sucker Punch is a brilliant move to use, but does require a bit of predicting.
    *Destiny Bond abuses prankster, and it very difficult work around when the opponent has a mega banette.
    *Knock off is a powerful move that will remove an enemy's item, very helpful.
    *All 3 abilities have their own Niche, Cursed Body for disabling hits, Insomnia to absorb sleep, Frisk to ease predictions.
    *EVs Maximise Bulk and Attack, as with 2, possible 3 priority moves, Banette doesn't need speed.
    *Priority taunt can be used to prevent stall or similair situations.

    Choice Band
    Banette (M) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Frisk / Insomnia / Cursed Body
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Gunk Shot / Trick
    - Knock Off / Shadow Sneak
    - Shadow Claw / Phantom Force
    - Sucker Punch

    *Packing more of a punch than Mega Banette at the cost of losing free choice, Banded Banette gets the job done.
    *Excluding Gunk Shot, it has the same moves. Gunk Shot is unreliable, but the best move to use over destiny bond, as Bandette isn't bulky enough to pull dbond off, nor does it have prankster.
    *Same EVs, as banette's speed is a meagre base 65 and unusable.
    *Care should be taken while using this, as getting locked into Sucker Punch against walls is not good.
    *Trick is always annoying as it removes your designated item, and usually shuts down walls or locks special attackers into a single move with no boost.

    Support Mega Banette

    Trait: Frisk / Insomnia / Cursed Body
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / Spe
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Destiny Bond / Taunt
    - Knock Off / Sucker Punch
    - Shadow Claw / Shadow Sneak
    - Will-O-Wisp / Thunder Wave / Toxic

    *Max HP for bulk, Max Attack for attack.
    *Destiny Bond to take down any attackers once Banettes run is over.
    *Taunt to prevent set ups or stall.
    *Knock Off or Sucker Punch for a damaging move, preferably the former as removing items is good.
    *Shadow Claw is a reliable Ghost STAB, but Shadow Sneak is priority.
    *3/4 major statuses with priority is great, you just have to choose which you want.

    Other Options
    *While these 2 sets are usually the best, you could change the spread of EVs for mega banette, sacrificing bulk for speed.
    *Trick Room! If you changed abilities to Brave, Removed IVs and the 4 Speed Ev's, Banette is a optimun Trick Room layer or abuser. It is better to switch in and abuse Mega Banette, but Banette also gets Trick Room so it is viable to use.
    *Mega Banette has a usable base 93 Special Attack, so a Calm Mind Set would be semi viable. Shadow Ball, Psychic, Thunder Bolt and Dark Pulse are all good moves.
    *Assault Vest is usable on an all attacking Banette, but it doesn't pack much of a punch.
    *As with all Pokémon, substitute is viable.
    *Curse is always an option, as long as you max Sp Def.

    Checks & Counters
    No full-on attacker can best Banette 1v1, but any pokemon that can taunt, if played well can. Toxic or Burn plays around that dreaded Destiny Bond, and prediction with other Banette can beat a banette. Aromatisse and Miltank both tank hits very well, as does any dark type, such as Drapion, Skuntank, Scrafty or Zoroark: the former two resisting all listed moves. While status is annoying, support banette can be checked by Fire, Ground/Elec or Steel/Poison mons, which each ignore one of the statuses. Hitmontop can kill with Suckerpunch if used right due to its superior speed. Hippopowdon can just in general let Banette die: toxic + sand damage while Hippo just Slack Off's any damage. Shiftry also has a faster Sucker Punch, but switching in on a gunk shot will kill it. Qwilfish can intimidate and pivot, as can Hitmontop, which is rather annoying for banette, and both can do decent damage or Qwilfish can set up spikes.

    There should only be 2 sets imo, Mega offense and Mega Support, normal banette isn't worth using

    - Shadow Sneak / Sucker Punch
    - Knock Off / Shadow Claw
    - Gunk Shot

    Enough Speed to beat max Emboar, Exeggutor etc. then moves give you STAB, priority and a way to smash through Grass and Fairy types like Chesnaught and Aromatisse.

    Trait: Frisk
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Taunt
    - Will-O-Wisp/Toxic
    - Pain Split
    - Knock Off

    Can shut down most Defensive mons with Taunt, Spread Burns easily or Knock Off items as things are forced out, and Pain Split to keep you healthy
