For me one of the most underrated pokemon Ability:simple Item:lum berry Evs:4 HP 252 spatk 252 spd Nature: timid Moveset: Calm mind Air slash Heat wave Stored power This set rocks Also try setting it up with quiver dance..though with simple as ability it can set up without help Only threat are priority moves such as ice shard sucker punch shadow sneak.
You didn't follow the rules of writing analyses, you can find them here. You can also check other analyses and make yours like them.
First of all read the rules from the link I posted in my previous post which will help you make a skeleton, you can also see other analyses that were made nicely like this one: http://pokemon-online.eu/threads/keldeo.27093
Swoobat General • A highly underrated Pokémon ; never used with so many other psychic and flying types to chose from. • Fair move pool; yet only one decent set • Speed only exceptional stat; 114 base speed • Did not benefit nor suffer with the introduction of Gen 6. • Once set up with calm mind and with simple as ability; this is one major threat in NU tier; also can have an impact in higher tiers. • Pathetic looking creature ; but sweeps. • Psychic Flying typing not the best of typings; but immunity to ground helps. With Lum berry: [email protected] berry Trait:Simple EVs; 252 sp atk/ 252 spd/4 HP Timid/Modest Nature(+speed -attack/+ sp atk attack) -Calm mind -Stored power -Heat wave -Air slash With simple as ability; stat boosts are doubled. So each time calm mind is used; both sp attack and sp defence sharply rise. Along with stored power; which also gets STAB ; swoobat can devastate. Heat wave to counter steel types in NU such as klingklang registeel and durant. Even registeel; a great wall; gets 2hkod by +2 sp atk swoobat. Air slash another STAB move; helps take on Pokemon resistant to psychic and fire along with a good chance to flinch; though other options are there to take its spot; like signal beam to beat psychic and dark types. Lum berry helps to set up uninterrupted by paralysis or sleep. Synergy: A sticky web in place always helps. Swoobat has substantial speed; but cannot beat scarfed users. To help it out ; a masquerain in front with sticky web and also with quiver dance baton pass to set it up from the start. This way; it outspeeds even flying types with scarf; along with giving stored power substantial power to sweep. A Scrafty in the team makes a reliable pokemon to switch too as swoobat cannot survive priority moves such as sucker punch shadow sneak and ice shard. Checks and Counters: • Banette: Has both sucker punch and shadow sneak; swoobat will have a hard time against it. • Assault vest;dark and psychic types:Assault vest is one item that can significantly reduce damage done by swoobat. Also dark types are immune to its strongest move stored power. Even psychic types generally have good sp defence and survive swoobat's attacks and counter with shadow ball.Signal beam can take care of both; but some common NU pokemon like scrafty is better dealt with air slash. If swoobat gets the chance to use calm mind more than once; it can handle these threats. Swoobat is better set up against special attackers as it does not get much damaged as its sp defence increases with calm mind. • Other priority move users: Ice shard users like sneasel can kill swoobat; though not if it is at full HP; even with life orb. Other than banette; no other Pokémon can ohko swoobat with shadow sneak; yet at 3/4 HP or less; one must be wary of them as swoobat has weak defences. There are plenty of sucker punch users such as golem and drudriggon. For countering them a scrafty with dragon dance drain punch ice punch knock off can beat these threats. Together these two Pokémon make a good team. • Sturdy and focus sash: Pokémon like sawk and magneton can revenge kill swoobat. To avoid this stealth rock would help. Other options Leftovers/Life orb Moves:Psychic signal beam and shadow ball
Try editing that into your OP, and use a bit spacing so it is easier to read. I'd recommend using a picture and bolding titles.
Agreeing with this. We don't need to mention the ability to have an impact in higher tiers since we are only talking about nu in general comments. Also lackluster stats should be mentioned because it harms it's ability to set up. Slash leftovers and life orb next to lum berry and put psychic next to stored power, sometimes you aren't going to get an opportunity to set up a calm mind and need to attack right off the bat and having stored power as you psychic move is very lackluster. life orb can help with power and the gradual recovery with leftovers can help. BTW all analysis have an other options section which needs to be added as well, just basically describing what other usuable moves swoobat has going for it, but could be outclassed by others, or provide little coverage outside of what was mentioned. C&C put a bigger emphasis on dark types since they resist swoobat's hardest hitting move stored power. Also don't mention any synergy comments in C&C, we are just trying to show what pokemon counter swoobat, not a core
I'm sorry I'm on mobile always cant do that...glad if someone help with it. Swoobat is viable solely because of its ability; or else other psychic types would be better. Life orb is viable and some other moves like signal beam and psychic; but not much room for changes I made changes added an other options sections though not much in it.
You need more that that, maybe instead of an full analysis you should try a skeleton next time? Follow the instructions in my PM to get the spaced and bolded version with grammar errors fixed into your OP, next time be more careful. I'd also like to point out that you shouldn't mention Scrafty being helpful here: this is an analysis about Swoobat, so there's no point saying Scrafty is good, save that for another thread.
General • A highly underrated Pokémon ; never used with so many other psychic and flying types to chose from. • Fair move pool; yet only one decent set • Speed only exceptional stat; 114 base speed • Did not gain nor suffer with the introduction of Gen 6. • Once set up with calm mind and with simple as ability; this is one major threat in the tier, being outsped by little. • Pathetic looking creature, but can sweep. • Psychic Flying typing not the best of typings; but the immunity to ground helps. Offensive CM Swoobat @ Lum Berry / Life Orb / Leftovers Trait: Simple EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk) / Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Calm mind - Stored power / Psychic - Heat wave - Air slash / Signal Beam With simple as ability; stat boosts are doubled meaning each time Calm Mind is used; both Special Attack and Special Defense rise 2 stages rather than 1. With Stored Power; which gets STAB ; Swoobat can devastate. Heat wave can hit steel types in NU such as Klingklang, Registeel and Durant. Even registeel; a great wall; gets 2hkod by a +2 Modest Swoobat. Air Slash, another STAB move; helps take on Pokémon resistant to Psychic and fire along with a good chance to flinch; although other options are there to take its spot; like Signal Beam to beat Psychic and Dark types. Lum Berry helps to set up uninterrupted by paralysis or sleep. Synergy: A Sticky Web user always helps. Swoobat has substantial speed; but cannot beat scarfed users. To help it out; a Masquerain with sticky web and also with Quiver Dance + Baton Pass to set it up from the start. This way it outspeeds everything, including Sticky Web immune scarfers. A Scrafty in the team makes a reliable Pokemon to switch too as Swoobat cannot survive priority moves such as Sucker Punch, Shadow Sneak and Ice Shard. Checks and Counters: • Banette: Has Sucker Punch, Destiny Bond and Shadow Sneak; Swoobat will have a hard time against it. • Dark and Psychic types with Assault Vest are Bothersome for Swoobat. Also, dark types are immune to its strongest move, Stored Power. Psychic types generally have good Special Defence and survive most hits: countering with any hard hitting move as Swoobat is frail. Signal Beam can take care of both; but some common NU Pokemon, like Scrafty, are better dealt with air slash. If swoobat gets the chance to use Calm Mind more than once; it can handle these threats. Swoobat is better set up against special attackers due to the Special Defence rise. • Other priority move users: Ice shard users like Piloswine can kill Swoobat; but for it to be reliable Swoobat must have taken previous damage. Other than Banette; no Pokémon can OHKO Swoobat with shadow sneak; yet at 3/4 HP or less; one must be wary of others Swoobat has weak defences. There are plenty of Sucker Punch users such as Golem and Druddigon in the tier. • Sturdy and focus sash: Pokémon like Sawk and Magneton can revenge kill Swoobat. To avoid this stealth rock would help.
