    This Pokemon is banned from XY UU

    Stats:
    90 / 120 / 120 / 60 / 60 / 50​

    Overview:

    - Good typing offensive and defensive typing in pure Ground
    - Very good Attack and Defense stats, allowing it to take and give hits
    - Access to Stealth Rocks, Rapid Spin, and Priority
    - Useful ability in Sturdy
    - Teammates with good defensive synergy with Donphan like Florges, Latias, and Umbreon can pass wishes, reactivating Sturdy
    - Poor Special stats, meaning it will need support from a Special wall to stay alive
    - Low speed means it is outsped by most Pokemon
    - Weak to common Special Attack types, such as Ice, Water, and Grass
    - Access to the newly buffed Knock Off
    - Good user of the new 'Assault Vest' item, but cannot be used in tandem with Stealth Rocks
    - Depth lacking movepool

    Notable Moves:

    - Knock Off
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Shard
    - Stealth Rock
    - Rapid Spin
    - Stone Edge

    Assault Vest:

    Donphan @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
    Adamant Nature
    - Rapid Spin
    - Earthquake
    - Knock Off
    - Ice Shard

    - Assault Vest allows Donphan to boost it's poor Special Defense stat
    - Fairly strong mixed wall with Max HP, and an Assault Vest
    - Max Attack and an Adamant nature make Donphan surprisingly threatening
    - Rapid Spin allows it to remove Hazards from your side, without removing your own
    - Earthquake is a powerful STAB move, that hits many Pokemon for big damage
    - Knock Off allows Donphan to be an annoyance to the opponent by removing items
    - Ice Shard gives Donphan useful priority which lets it beat Salamance, Flygon, and other dragon types one on one

    Stealth Rocks:

    Donphan @ Leftovers
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
    Impish Nature
    - Rapid Spin
    - Stealth Rocks
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Shard / Knock Off

    - Allows Donphan to set hazards as well as remove them
    - Very bulky with the given EV's, maximizing HP & Def
    - Impish nature used to buff Donphan's Defense
    - Rapid Spin for hazard removal
    - Stealth Rocks for hazards
    - Earthquake is still very threatening to Pokemon weak to it, coming off of a Base 120 Attack stat
    - Ice Shard is the preferred move, as it allows Donphan to hit pokemon off the ground
    - Ice Shard also gives Donphan priority
    - Knock Off can replace Ice Shard for item removal, and more coverage

    Other Options:

    - Choice Band
    - Sandstorm + Smooth Rock
    - Sunny Day + Heat Rock
    - Rest > Ice Shard / Knock Off on the SR set
    - Rock Polish + 2 Attacks + Rapid Spin
    - Roar, but Donphan lacks the move slot for it

    Checks & Counters:

    - Blastoise has high defense and can Spin Away Rocks and Destroy Donphan with STAB
    - Swampert beats Donphan with Scald and high bulk
    - Starmie, can spin away Rocks, but fears Knock Off
    - Sableye can burn and Spin Block
    - Slowbro can take any hit and burn
    - Actually any bulky water type
    - Latias can defog and recover HP, but will not like Knock Off
    - Froslass can Spin block and OHKO with Ice Beam, but can't come in unless using Rapid Spin
    - Mew, Burn and Defog
    - Suicune sets up on Donphan with no problem

    Sorry I haven't replied sooner

    Great analysis, the only thing I think that's the reason this hasnt really been checked is that when checking the usage stats yesterday, it seems that Donphan will be rising to OU (!!!) so we really didnt want to waste time checking a Pokemon that is likely to rise, as well as having you waste your time working on an analysis that will likely come to nothing. If Donphan does end up staying in UU, we'll give you some checks and all that good stuff

    as for some preliminary notes (you don't have to implement these until its confirmed that donphan will be staying, if it is at all):

    The overview looks solid overall, just the part about the teammates and all isn't necessary in the overview and could probably go into a Synergy section in the analysis.

    With all mentions of Ice Shard, mention how piss-weak it is, as it can only 2HKO Zygarde with no defensive investment whatsoever (and most zygarde variants do run defensive investment), as well as only being able to OHKO salamence and flygon after SR, so mention that if you're going to be revenge killing anything with Ice Shard that they better be weakened significantly - less so with salamence or flygon but with zygarde and anything else in general.

    OO add Toxic and Stone Edge

    in C+C mention bulky grasses as well - things like Amoonguss and Tangrowth wall it completely and most can just shrug off an Ice Shard
