Kyuremu Meloetta[/HIDE] Loads of very strong Pokemon ended up in UU, hopefully people will find their power and start using them enough in OU to get them out of this tier (UU Metagross, , Jirachi, most Deoxys formes, Celebi, Suicune, Blissey, Mew, Kyuremu..). We can expect huge changes to the tier over the coming months, likely rendering suspect early testing useless. Edit: If someone wants to make a list of Pokemon which may have some viability, I'll edit it into the OP.
Thanks to everyone who put this together, many of us have been looking forward to a UU tier. Might be a while till we have stability in the UU tier, but of course there will be a lot that will change. I am happy to see Dragonite solidly in OU, he has too much competition. Many people have been criticizing Ononokusu about his limited movepool and such, so I am happy to see him in OU. BL tier this year is going to be interesting, and probably larger than gen 4s. Also, I can see Ditto being suspect for UU/NU in the future.
Look, Metagross and others are overpowered, but there's enough of them that counter each other to get them not sent into BL.
"Probably" larger than 4's? Gen 4's BL list? I lol'd. It's like what, Raikou, Yanmega, Honchkrow, Gallade, and Cresselia? It's going to bigger than gen 3's BL list probably.
Well despite the fact that its more than likely, there isn't a need to be a smart ass about it. You never know how the tiers will turn out.
It's not an absurd statement. There is effectively 0 chance that it will be anything like Gen 3's size, because of the way BL is organized. The power level of UU does not matter, it's the power level of UU relative to the rest of the tier. If there are enough very strong Pokemon down there, we may see very few bans (comparable to Gen 4, perhaps a little higher.).
I'm expecting Hail to be the dominant weather in the UU tier; after all, all the other automatic weather inducers have been set as OU or Ubers. Without Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Sandstorm or the Cloud Nine ability, hail can't be stopped now.
Vulpix and Hippopotas can still bring in perma sun and sand, so there are ways around hail. I can't believe this is finally here. Time to do some testing (later). Edit: Golduck and Lickiliky would probably work better in UU where the power levels of the weather teams is significantly lower.
I'm thinking after a week we should decide on having an initial banlist. Too many of the mons in UU atm, eg. Mew, Kyuremu, Deo N and S, Wobb are clearly broken just like the base 670+ mons in OU were.
I hate the fact that I missed the UU thread. Anyway... The OU cut off way insanely high. 5% would've been too high last gen, with even less Pokemon. Since there are more OU viable Pokemon this time around, the cut off should be lowered. Things like and the Deoxys formes shouldn't be in UU. UU should have been held off until the OU metagame settled down.
This is just different. You could see this tier as "Lower OU" and then an additional tier would be made as "UU".
This. The cutoff is currently at 5%, which is quite high. This tier looks more like last generation's OU tier rather than an UU tier. This tier will fluctuate greatly. It is also a test tier, meaning that it will have no impact on the Standard UU which will be made using WiFi usage stats, and not Dreamworld OU usage stats. We just want to see how it goes.
Just wondering, what stats were used to get the OU list? According to the on-site stats, Pokémon like Latios and Goruggo should be OU, and others like Kerudio and Forretress should be UU.

I swear too many people are complaining about this. Over today and yesterday, I put down a "mob" of about 7 people, and today, 3 more...
All the Pokemon in that UU list that have shocked me; Bold = Very shocked Normal = Shocked Italic = Meh, kinda shocked. Spoiler Alakazam Machamp Tentacruel Slowbro Chansey Aerodactyl Snorlax Mew Wobbuffet Porygon2 Blissey Suicune Celebi Swampert Flygon Metagross Latias Latios JirachiDeoxys Infernape Empoleon Roserade Lucario Magnezone Togekiss Azelf Warubiaru Rankurusu Agirudaa Terakion Birijion I can't judge too much, though. I've mainly been playing in Wifi, rather than Dream World. But, personally, from the assumptions we gathered last generation about UU, I find the Pokemon in bold way too strong for UU play. Although, perhaps we shouldn't bring past assumptions about UU into this discussion, for all I (we) know, the UU metagame mind have changed/be changing. Honestly, I think BL has the possibility of being a viable tier this generation. Something that shocked me from looking at the statistics last night, was that Stantler had the same amount of usage as Latias. (in Wifi) That's pretty messed up.
This is temporary until we finish suspect testing. Anyone under 5% is UU. And the overall feeling of "Don't use the 4th gen ubers!" isn't helping. Catch my drift?
There are definitely some super tough Pokemon in UU, it looks like some OU guys got shoved down by the new Pokemon. I say the list should be spread out. Either that or we eventually develop a fairly large BL tier. I thought this over and this would only serve to spread out what little UU players we have.
If you take the Wifi statistics, incidentally, the list is slightly less ridiculous - the likes of Latios, Infernape, Metagross, Jirachi, Rankurusu and Blissey are kept in OU according to the November Wifi stats.
For now, it's a test tier, and most testing goes by Dream World since it's the 'soon-to-be' Wi-Fi metagame.
It keeps changing though. Politoed and Ninetales just got released. It's not wise to make a UU from that yet.
I still dont understand at what percentage was the OU pokemon cut off from? because porygon2 had more usage points than zuruzkin but its not listed as OU... this list is biased somehow
well i can see how that would negatively affect certain pokemon [latios, porygon2, rankurusu] seeing how /tr/ doesnt see as much battles as beta... It's severly funny how Latios went from being an uber to not being able to make OU...
Funny? I find it bothersome. I've seen quite a few people go "Oh, this guy's using ubers, I'm going to deny his request!" or "Me? Use ubers? Blasphemy!"
You know what I find half funny, people saying that all these broken pokemon will baance themselves out when the majority of them are Psychic or Dragon who cannot really counter each other...
Same here, Gallblade. I'll probably update this post with usable UU pokemon. Sadly, I'll need help. You need to find a usable set out of weather. Why out of weather? Well, as far as I understand, UU won't be so much weatherized as OU is. Please just post which ones you want. You're welcome to use NFE's with evo stones. As of right now, I simply want to compile a list, then test it after the list is compiled.
I didn't notice that... I have a question, Gal. Are Likiliky, Golduck, Altaria or Rayquaza allowed in UU? Those can easily counter weather. Especially this guy could counter Sun: Golduck (M) @ Leftovers/Choice Scarf Trait: Cloud Nine EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Surf - Ice Beam - Filler Move - Filler Move Go for Choice Scarf if you want, I prefer Leftovers so you can beat most Sun abusers, fire or grass types.
How will it ever stop anything even slightly bulky? Venusaur no doubt laughs at the duck and its meh damage output, I don't think Golduck will be very efficent in stopping weather until a NU comes along.
>Rayquaza >UU Sorry, just had to point that out :p And even in last gen's NU, Golduck really wasn't that good of a pokemon to have around. Even with sandstorm all over the place with Regirock to abuse it. Plus the fact that your surfs do pitiful damage with the sun up. Lickilicky is too slow and can't really do enough damage overall to make an impact on most weather teams. Altaria might be a decent check, though.
Altaria will probably enjoy stopping sun, since she 4x resists grass and resists fire. If weather abusers start running ice attacks however, the situation looks grim. Wouldn't things like ev-stone munchlax be a pretty good check to weather teams thanks to thick fat and insane special bulk?
