    Overview:

Deoxys-Attack is one of the Pokemon with the most fierce attacking presence in the tier of Ubers. The reason for that is the combination of 150 base Speed, along with 180 Attack and Special Attack. Possessing one of the strongest STAB moves available, Psycho Boost, Deoxys can deal huge amount of damage to any Pokemon. Apart from attacking, Deoxys can be used as a lead, making it versatile against all matchups. On the other hand, it has some minor flaws due to its really low defensive stats, allowing most of the Pokemon in the tier to be able to OHKO it. Furthermore, its use as a lead is limited due to the presence of Magic Bounce users such as Mega-Sableye or Mega-Diancie.

    Life Orb Set:

    Deoxys-Attack @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 68 Atk / 252 SpA / 188 Spe
    Naive/Rash Nature
    - Psycho Boost
    - Ice Beam / Knock Off
    - Superpower / Low Kick
    - Extreme Speed

Life Orb enhances both physical and special attacking moves of Deoxys, making it an amazing offensive threat. Psycho Boost is its primer STAB move and deals amazing amounts of damage to everything that does not resist it as a type. Superpower hits all types that wall Deoxys's stab, Dark and Steel, but causes its Attack and Defense to drop by one stage.Ice Beam is used for the coverage of Flying and Dragon types, including Mega-Salamence and Yveltal, while it helps Deoxys dealing some important damage to Mega-Sableye. Knock Off hits the third type that resists its stab; Psychic type. This works great on Pokemon that rely on their items to have a good presence, including Latios-Latias/Giratina/Lugia. Extreme Speed provides Deoxys with a strong priority move and gives it the chance to KO many weakened opponents.

    Suicide Lead Set:

    Deoxys-Attack @ Focus Sash
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Naive Nature
    - Stealth Rock / Spikes
    - Psycho Boost
    - Taunt / Knock Off
    - Extreme Speed

This set is viable due to the 150 base Speed of Deoxys to set up either Stealth Rock or Spikes depending on the preference of the user. Psycho Boost is there to cause a decent amount of damage to the opponent after setting up hazards, while Extreme Speed can be used as a hit for faster threats before fainting. Taunt is used to shut down other hazard setters, stop early defogging attempts and in some cases to cease the opponents attempts to set up. Knock Off can be used for Anti-Lead purposes or crippling opposing Pokemon.

    Team Options:

In general note, Deoxys-A is strong enough to be alone and is not in need of some specific teammates. Due to its fragility, both sets appreciate a defogger such as Latios/Latias/Giratina-O or some support Arceus, and specially the Focus Sash set. It can be crippled if it gets T-Waved or Will-o-Wisped, so Primal Groudon with immunity to both of them is much appreciated. Also Pokemon that cover Deoxys-A threats like Arceus or Rayquaza, such as Yveltal can be proven helpful. On a last notice, Magic Bounce users can also be fit into a Deoxys-A team so that any statuses can be bounced back. Overall, Deoxys can fit really well into Offensive or some bulkier offensive builds and it can work exceptionally against balance or offensive teams.

    Checks & Counters:

Psychic Types: Mewtwo and Mega-Mewtwo Y as well as other psychic types, can resist Deoxys-A's STAB move and coverage move as well and then KO.

Ghost Types: Ghosts like Arceus-Ghost,Giratina-O and Mega-Sabley can deal with Deoxys-A, by tanking a hit and OHKO it back.

Prankster: Pokemon with Prankster ability can paralyze or toxic it, with result Deoxys-A to be crippled. Klefki is a common check, since it can tank a Psycho Boost and then paralyze it.

Users with priority: Its very low defense stats, allows pretty much every Pokemon with priority move such as Arceus or Rayquaza to take it down easily.

Choice Scarf Users: Pretty much everything that can outspeed Deoxys-A when equipped with Choice Scarf can OHKO it.

Yveltal: Offensive Yveltal can KO it with Sucker Punch. Defensive Yveltal can also use Sucker Punch to KO, but it can as well tank any move except of Ice Beam and KO with Foul Play.

Pursuit Users: Most Pursuit users can be covered by the movepool of Deoxys-A but Pokemon like Aegislash or Mega-Scizor can pursuit it with safety.

On the LO set, mention ice beam makes it be able to break through sableye. Talk about the playstyles he's good on and good against.

precisely. Maybe not here, but on the PS ladder, Scarfed Genesect is the most popular anti-Deoxys lead, followed by Shadow sneak Greninja (which also deserves a mention)

But we are doing analyses for PO Ubers metagame. Aegislash deserves a mention in the C&C in the prio and ghost part. It can switch into Knock Off even (1-2 so yeah checks) and OHKO with Shadow Sneak/Ball though usage is my concern. Do people use it often?

Hmm.. Long as in long long. The PO metagame is a steady and slow paced metagame (imo). By the time people use it here, SuMo would have started probably. Smogon sets? They are pretty much the same with very few key differences especially in OU/Ubers.
