(01:23:04) Veteran Padgett: seperate if a battle mechanic is wrong/crash/etc

Post major bugs with Gen 7 (v2.7.0) here, such as incorrect battle mechanics, crashes, playability problems, etc.

Maybe a dev could post a list of known and fixed bugs so people don't report already known bugs.

    Ones I've found:
Ash Greninja changes back to normal Greninja after switching
EDIT: fixed with next battleserver restart ~turbedi

We know that In Sun and Moon, Mega Evolution takes place before the Speed and priority calculations of the current turn. However, it should be after the switch: like, Landorus-T intimidate should still be blocked by Hyper Cutter of Pinsir if Pinsir mega evolves that turn.

Extreme Evoboost is not working in Hackmons. In game, it can be hacked directly into the 4 slot of a pokemon with PP 1 and functions normally.

If Arceus use Z stone to change type, it is somehow receiving normal STAB and the true STAB at the same time.

    Using STAB 70 base
    252 Atk Arceus-Ghost Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Zapdos: 96-114 (25 - 29.6%)

    Start of turn 11

The foe's Arceus used Shadow Claw!
Zapdos lost 105 HP! (27% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!

    Zapdos used Roost!
    Zapdos landed on the ground!
    Zapdos regained health!

    Start of turn 12
The foe's Arceus used Shadow Claw!
Zapdos lost 99 HP! (25% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!
    Zapdos's Static activates!
The foe's Arceus is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!

    Start of turn 13
    Zapdos used Roost!
    But it failed!

The foe's Arceus used Shadow Claw!
Zapdos lost 106 HP! (27% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!

    Start of turn 19
    Zapdos used Roost!
    But it failed!

The foe's Arceus used Shadow Claw!
Zapdos lost 96 HP! (25% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!

Now test non-stab normal type 80 base move.
    252 Atk Arceus-Ghost Extreme Speed vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Zapdos: 73-86 (19 - 22.3%)
    But now it receives STAB

    Start of turn 2
The foe's Arceus used Extreme Speed!
Zapdos lost 117 HP! (30% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!
    Zapdos's Static activates!
The foe's Arceus is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!

    Zapdos used Roost!
    Zapdos landed on the ground!
    Zapdos regained health!

    Start of turn 3
The foe's Arceus used Extreme Speed!
Zapdos lost 117 HP! (30% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!

    Zapdos used Roost!

The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!

    Zapdos used Roost!
    Zapdos landed on the ground!
    Zapdos regained health!

    Start of turn 6
The foe's Arceus used Extreme Speed!
Zapdos lost 123 HP! (32% of its health)
The foe's Arceus is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!

    0 SpA Tapu Fini Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Silvally: 204-242 (61.6 - 73.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
But it KOs somehow, with the extra 50% in Misty Terrain
    testbug111 called Eevee back!
    testbug111 sent out Tapu Fini!

Tapu Fini's Misty Surge causes mist to swirl around the battlefield!

    Start of turn 2
    The foe's Silvally-Dark used Multi-Attack!
    It's not very effective...
Tapu Fini lost 45 HP! (16% of its health)

    Tapu Fini used Moonblast!
    It's super effective!
The foe's Silvally-Dark lost 100% of its health!
    The foe's Silvally-Dark fainted!

However, if the terrain is down:
    Start of turn 5
    testbug111 called Sableye back!
    testbug111 sent out Tapu Fini!

    testbug999 called Sableye back!
    testbug999 sent out Silvally-Dark!

The mist disappeared from the battlefield!

    Start of turn 6
    The foe's Silvally-Dark used Multi-Attack!
    It's not very effective...
Tapu Fini lost 46 HP! (16% of its health)

    Tapu Fini used Moonblast!
    It's super effective!
The foe's Silvally-Dark lost 65% of its health!

Misty Terrain is wrongly boosting Fairy moves: perhaps somewhere in damage calc that is doing extra 50% like the above arceus/parental bond thing

252 Atk Kangaskhan-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Zapdos: 144-169 (Manually getting the right damage of the first hit)
252 Atk Parental Bond Kangaskhan-Mega Return vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Zapdos: 180-211 (46.8 - 54.9%) (The total damage of two hits in theory)

    Start of turn 4
The foe's Kangaskhan has Mega Evolved into Mega Kangaskhan!
    The foe's Kangaskhan used Return!
Zapdos lost 250 HP! (65% of its health)
The foe's Kangaskhan is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!
Zapdos lost 60 HP! (15% of its health)
The foe's Kangaskhan is hurt by Zapdos's Rocky Helmet!
    Hit 2 time(s)!

    Zapdos used Roost!
    Zapdos landed on the ground!
    Zapdos regained health!
However it is doing insane damage of 150%+25%. This should be fixed ASAP to prevent abuse since it is in OU.

Fixed mega evolve after switch, but there is a mechanic with it I need someone to test in game.
If you evolve Mega Sableye, does it have priority for that turn from the Prankster before it mega evolved?

This is tested and it does not receive the priority that turn.
This is different thing from switch>mega anyway.

    Also maybe this is relevant

And stuff like Mega Alakazam Tracing a swift swimmer immediately outspeeds that turn etc.

Mega evolution now takes place after switch, and priority is determined by the mega's ability (after server restart).

The Parental Bond and Arceus bug are probably the same. I've seen other Pokemon besides those two getting 50% increased damage.

There also seems to be a bug with players not receiving challenges.

    Fixed Extreme Evoboost

So are the abilities that aren't affected by Gastro Acid also not effected by Core Enforcer? ( Multitype, Stance Change, Magic Bounce, Comatose, and Schooling according to Bulba)
And is there a move message when the ability of the opponent is suppressed?

The move, if targeting at a pokemon that has already moved that turn, or the target switches in that turn, would suppress the ability. This effect only applies if the move actually hits. (So fairy type immune won't lose their ability, and if sth like bright powder/evasion up misses, no such effect either.)
The move message is: "The opposing X's Ability was suppressed!"
I said Gastro acid only to emphasize the "negating" effect which is missing on our sim, but it is not exactly the same: Magic Bounce,Comatose can be suppressed, and ability related to form changes like Stance Change or Multitype remains immune to the negation.
In addition, Wonder Guard can be suppressed by Gastro Acid, but Core Enforcer cannot deals damage to it and therefore cannot get rid of the ability either.

    Edit:
In addition to what u said: Wonder Guard as long as it is not weak to Dragon, will not be suppressed by it.

Whether Zen Mode, Battle Bond, Comatose, Power Construct, Schooling, Shields Down gets negated by core enforcer still needs testing, although all of them are immune to gastro acid.
    (see
    http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7customgame-512910522
    http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7customgame-512913446
Showdown is likely to be wrong but all these on PS are negated by CE while immune to gastro acid. And funny enough Schooling activates after suppression message which is lol)
Multitype, RKS System and Stance Change is confirmed to be immune to the ability suppression effect, while Imposter is irrelevant since it is the ability that ditto gains after the transformation that is getting negated.

So tagging @turbedi just to hold on the PR.

moving unfixed stuff to here and added a few.

Boosts power of moves used repeatedly. Each time a move is used consecutively, its power is boosted by 20% (10% in Generation IV) up to a maximum increase of 100%.
It should be like 100%, 120%, 140%,160%,180%,200%,200%.....if same move used consecutively.
However on our server this boost starts at 120% upon first usage.

I make this replay so u can understand it more directly:
    http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7pokebankubers-511181391
If ur teammate gets killed last turn, and you send in a Z mirror move user and moves first, you should copy the move that killed your teammate last turn into ist corresponding Z attacking move. On our sim this simply fails.

It is now a sunsteel strike like move that has moldbreaker effect, which is incorrect.

The move, if targeting at a pokemon that has already moved that turn, or the target switches in that turn, would suppress the ability. This effect only applies if the move actually doesn't miss or gets immune. (So fairy type immune won't lose their ability, and if sth like bright powder/evasion up misses, no such effect either. And if a Wonder Guard pokemon not weak to Dragon, it will be immune to dragon type move so the ability suppression effect won't take place. If a mold breaker uses this on a wonder guard pokemon the ability is suppressed accordingly.)

The move message is: "The opposing X's Ability was suppressed!" Chinese translation in case needed is:
    X的特性消失了!

Multitype, RKS System and Stance Change is confirmed to be immune to the ability suppression effect, while Imposter is irrelevant since it is the ability that ditto gains after the transformation that is getting negated.

Whether Zen Mode, Battle Bond, Comatose, Power Construct, Schooling, Shields Down gets negated by core enforcer still needs testing.

This may be not a bug already existed in Gen 6, so needs a global fix:
From Bulbapedia, and this was confirmed in game.
So if a normalize/Pixilate pokemon use judment, it still has the typing of the hold plate. Like spooky plate Judgment should be ghost type even on a normalize pokemon.
    http://imgur.com/a/hh2Hh

    And for Gen 7 specifically:
It is confirmed in game that Normalize also gets 120% attacking boost this generation which was not the case in past gen.

It is known that Ditto transformed is getting extra HP bar instead of 300. It is also known that HP bar doesn't really show status damage some times at the end of turn on Droid.
In addition, for PC New battle window, every form changed pokemon gets their HP bar healed to full (actually not full but shown incorrectly) like a minior shields down, a mega pokemon etc.

While all room move can be in effect at the same time, all should stop after 5 turns. On our sim, only Trick room stops after 5 turns and the other two doesn't have a timer.

I've fixed Z-moves not dealing 25% damage against protected targets, but I've left out Guardian of Alola, because many other sources say that it isn't affected by the damage reduction. Need ingame confirmation for this one before I will change it

Protect weakens Guardian of Alola. The damage dealt is calculated as 0.25 * 0.75 * current HP

Regarding baneful bunker, spiky shield doesn't protect from damage either - tested in ORAS and SM. Idk if anyone's mentioned this so I thought I'd point it out just in case

    After server restart 1.17 /PC 2.7.1 Bug
    1. As reported in http://pokemon-online.eu/threads/35421/page-2
Alolan muk has compatibility between the move shadow sneak and pursuit.
Alolan Ninetale has moves of original forms that it shouldn't learn.

    2. Certain ability activation failed due to we changed the turn order. Not all of them are fixed so pls double check if there is any more turn order 28 -> 29 thing.
    E.g. Power Construct failing:

Power Construct , schooling, Harvest, Bad Dreams and Moody are fixed by turbedi, will take place after a battle server restart.

    3. Disguise's problem with immune attacks is fixed, but the problem with failed attack still exist: it busted when opposing user's sucker punch failed:

    4. Core Enforcer mechanics still needs polishing
    As i mentioned,
To be more general, the move Core Enforcer is totally different from Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist beam. When the first time Core Enforcer hits, its damage and effect is just like a normal move, e.g.: if it hits a unware mon on the switch it doesn't get boost by stat changes.
Only when this move hits opponent on the switch, or hits opponent that has already moved that turn, it has an additional effect of negating the ability, and this effect only happens when successfully dealing damage(so wonder guard without dragon weakness should just be immune to this move totally). So let's say, if core enforcer KO an innards out pokemon on the switch, it takes the damage from innards out, but if it didn't kill this one turn on the switch, the innards out will be canceled at the end of turn and then if KO it the next turn there would be no innards out damage.

I thought this was fixed, but apparently it is forgotten.
