PO League: Rules and Information Every challenger should read through this carefully! You need to attain a minimum of 6 badges to make it to the Elite Four stage. You are allowed eight losses against Gym Leaders. In case this is confusing, your ninth loss means that you are out while you are still eligible for the elite four after your ninth loss. You may challenge a Gym once every five days - this holds true for every individual Gym, not leader. For example, you can challenge one CC leader on Monday and then you cannot challenge any CC leader for another five days. Additionally, if you challenge the CC gym on Monday and lose, you can still challenge any other Gym immediately afterwards barring other circumstances. Gym Leaders may also challenge other Gyms—they automatically get their own badge and only need to earn five more to be eligible to challenge the Elite 4. However, they have one less loss in exchange (so they can only lose seven times and their eighth loss is the end of the road). Elite four members have to challenge Gyms like a normal challenger, but if they reach the Elite Four, then they already have their own Elite Four beaten. The PO League season will be approximately two months long. All badges earned by everyone will be reset one week before the beginning of the following season. Elite 4 Stage: A challenger who has acquired the necessary amount of badges during the regular season has until one week before the beginning of the next season (the moment your badges get reset) to complete their Elite Four challenge. Failing to complete your challenge, or losing to an Elite Four member twice means your challenge is over and you must wait until next season to try again. Elite Four members may also challenge the other Elite Four members if they reach the required number of badges. Successfully completing the Elite Four will result in your name being recorded in the PO League Hall of Fame, and a permanent trophy will be awarded under your forum username. This will happen regardless of whether or not you become the Champion, if you are not an Elite Four member (Elite Four members must defeat the Champion). Any person who has defeated the Elite Four may challenge the Champion. They have until one week before the start of the next season to do this. The Champion battle is in the same format as the Elite Four battles—you have two chances to beat the Champion under the tiers and rules set by Champion's thread. Fail twice, and your challenge is over. Once the Champion has been defeated, the winner becomes the Champion of that season. All Champion battles will cease as soon as this happens, so make sure you battle the Champion first! Any questions should be asked to @E.T. via Forum/Server PM. Future amendments to these rules will be made in new posts and edited into this OP. The PO League start date is June 17th. All the Gym Leaders are requested to autojoin #PO League channel on the server, just for everyone's convenience.
@Annoying Orange is the new SM UU Gym Leader, as @Valhalla (A.K.A. @overdose) has been banned. I'd also like to remind everyone that when you challenge a Gym, you should suggest a time from the Gym Leader's posted availability, or go ahead and contact the Gym Leader to start scheduling so that your matches are more likely to get done in a timely manner!
There have been several new releases lately (Marshadow and stones for Mega Lopunny, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Gallade, Mega Banette, and Mega Camerupt), so I'd like to state that Gym Leaders and Elite Four members have the right to ban these and future new releases from their Gym / Challenge; however, they do not have the right to pick and choose (i.e. allow some but ban others). Note that this does not include the recent usage tier shifts. This is the two week warning for the Gym Leader phase, which will end on August 17th. Gyms will be closed at that time, and players who haven't made it to the Elite Four will be finished with their PO League challenge.
The Gym Leader phase has concluded. Challengers who acquired enough badges to make it past the Gym Leader phase have until November 10th to complete your PO League challenge.
Edna has cleared the Elite Four and defeated Champion Troller to become the new Champion; therefore, Champion battles for this season have concluded. Players who have yet to complete their Elite Four challenge still have until November 10th to try to defeat the Elite Four for the badge and to be entered into the Hall of Fame, but they no longer have the chance to become the Champion.
