[POWC] Pokemon Online World Cup 2020 - Introduction

Hello everyone! Pokemon Online World Cup (POWC) is scheduled to return this year. Before you ask, I'd like to make a few announcements on the general schedule and format so the people interested in participating or forming a team can have plenty of time to prepare.

- Week 1 will start on either the 10th or 17th of March.
- Captain Sign-ups will be around the end of February. Please keep checking back esp. if you want to form a new team that didn't exist.
- Player Sign-ups will start early March.
- Join the PO Tournament Discord: https://discord.gg/ppxSkUE to keep track of the above events more easily.
- The eligibility rule remains the same: You play for the team you played for in the last year, unless you didn't play last year, or the team you played for last year no longer exists, or you are trying to play for a team that didn't exist last year.
- The Format this year will be:
SS OU / SS OU / SS UU / USUM OU / ORAS OU / BW OU / DPP OU / ADV OU / GSC OU / RBY OU.
This could be changed if a supermajority of the elected captains voted against it (but not very likely). Additional slots (such as 3rd SS OU / SS LC) can be added if the elected captains vote to do so. This relatively early notice allows certain regions and countries to have more time to fill their rosters.
