The point of this thread is for users to discuss about football(obviously).

    Rankings Tables:
    [SECRET]
    Barclays Premier League:
    [SECRET][IMG][/SECRET]
    La Liga:
    [SECRET][IMG][/SECRET]
    Serie A:
    [SECRET][IMG][/SECRET]
    Bundesliga:
    [SECREt][IMG][/SECRET]
    [/SECRET]

When the Champions/Europa League start the fixtures will also be added here. At some point the list of goal/assist leaders for each league and in Europe as a whole will also be added. The rankings tables will be updated every Monday(Tuesday for the Premier League when there's a leftover Monday fixture).

Manchester United are going to win the Premiership this year.

I'm not a Man Utd fan, but it's fairly evident that right now, they've got the best squad (Man City's squad still need to gel more, Arsenal's lost key figures, Chelsea's team is getting old, lol Liverpool), they've got the best management (Sir Alex is the best manager of all time, Chelsea have got some new kid, Arsene Wenger is struggling as per usual, Mancini is an excellent manager but is under too much pressure from his squad / chairman / owners, King Kenny is a demon but doesn't have the squad) and they know that they're last year's champions and will continue on with that attitude. The title is their's to lose.

Man City, Chelsea and either Arsenal or Tottenham will make up the top 4, with Liverpool and either Arsenal or Tottenham rounding off the top 6. QPR, West Brom and Blackburn are going down this season, imo.

AC Milan, but my all time fav player Andrea Pirlo left so i lost a lot of interest in the Seria A.

La Liga is an uncompetitive joke. Barca will win, then Real, then maybe Valencia, then no one gives a ****

EPL is okay but i don't really support anyone, lol.

Man U favourites to win comfortably, Ashley Young is an amazing addition, a player i rate highly.
I think Man City and Chelsea will make up the top 3.
I think Arsenal will slip, ive thought they've overachieved for a long time, i dont think any team with a defense as shakey as their should do that well.
Liverpool and Tottenham will challenge Arsenal with Liverpool having the better chance of catching them.

I think swansea will stay up. wolves or blackburn to go down instead of them.

(we all know the championship is a far more interesting league)

Man Utd has been playing so unbelievable good so far this season, they really got their stuff together. I think it's Man Utd and Barca in the Champions League finals again. Man Utd is my fave to win. :)

ew, Man United. I hate Man City and Arsenal [Wenger >_>] as well. Unfortunally, Man United are probably going to win, but eh :/

I support Stoke City, and I actually have a season ticket for them, since I live around 20 minutes away from the ground. Chelsea and Swansea are pretty cool too :D

It is such a shame that there are so many glory hunter fans of Man Utd though, because the genuine fans are lovely people.

    It is spelled Barça >___>

    Anyway

    Barcelona
    Chelsea
    Milan
    Screw the Bundesliga

Those are the teams that will win in their respective leagues. Of course Barça will win the Champions, Barcelona is just too good.

I really wish Man U wernt so good, Sir Alex annoys me. So does Wenger to be fair. If i had it my way all managers would be a cross between Holloway and Shankly.

The last few years ive sort of had them favourites by default, a professional outfit that have a winning mentality. But this time they have a little more, they might be able to challenge in the Champions League but i still think Barcelona have the edge.

Not that anyone cares for the second tier of English football but ive had to content myself with another season of my team fighting relegation.

Leeds United were just outside of the playoffs last season, and they've not had the best of starts to this season. Believe me, I'm looking at the second tier.
    What's your team?

Watford. We started great last season but slipped massively. since then we lost alot of players and our early performances havnt looked good. Yeah, avoiding relegation is the most im hoping for.

This. Seeing people walking around London in United (and now even City) shirts makes me cringe. Anyway, Arsenal look weak after yesterday losing at home to Liverpool :/

Well the PL sucks anyway, League 1 is where its at. Brentford beat local rivals Leyton Orient 5-0. Lets get it bees.

Just found an old birthday card that's relevant to this topic.

"Where can you regularly see 70 000 tits on display?"

    Old Trafford!

So yeah im just gonna pretend that my predictions didnt happen.
Just wow, two games 16 goals.
Wouldnt want to be Arsene right now.

But noone cares about that, what an epic Watford match. Last minute equaliser by Taylor against his old club. Birmingham looked terrible.

Due to having a busy week this week, and another busy week up ahead, I didn't see many of the weekend results.

I just saw the Man Utd result.

    Fucking hell fire.

Yeah i got destroyed. No excuses i dont know what came over me for a second thinking Spurs would pull something out. Stoke seemed pretty obv to me.

The Eight Two gag accounted for three statuses in my mini feed this morning, also "Conclusive Proof that Manchester > London" (posted by a southerner).

    MANCHESTER UNITED
    Spain - 1
    France - 1
    England - 6
    NIreland - 1
    Brazil - 1
    Wales - 1
    Portugal - 1
    South Korea - 1
    Mexico - 1

    vs

    ARSENAL
    Poland - 1
    France - 4
    Switzerland - 1
    Finland - 1
    Czech Republic - 1
    England - 3
    Wales - 1
    Russia - 1
    Holland - 1

So it's hardly Manchester > London, when a lot less than half the players on the pitch were even from England.

Furthermore, most Man United fans live in London anyway, so what was the point they were making?

Still not enough British players playing for the big clubs imo =/

To be fair, its better than it was.
Man Utd are moving in the right direction, with a group of young promising English players (Jones, Smalling, Young, Welbeck, Cleverly. Hell even Rooney).

Arsenal have got Wilshere and Gibbs, but they are in need of a major overhaul anyway, and buying some good British talent (Gary Cahill anyone?) will do wonders for them.

Chelsea have that McEcheraen kid, and still maintain Terry and Lampard, but both are old.

Liverpool have made strides over the summer with Henderson and Downing, adding to Kelly Carragher Gerrard Carroll Spearing and Shelvy.

Dont even get me started on Man City.

tl;dr its better than it was a few years ago, but Arsenal and Chelsea have work to do.

I wanted Stoke to beat Manchester United.

To be fair, I'd want any team to beat Manchester United.

Except Galatasaray. Dirty fan-stabbing *the rest of this rant was deleted due to repeated violations of the rules*

Manchester looks like the dominant football city this year currently. Is City proving that money CAN buy you quality?
Also poor Arsenal. At least they won.
